I don’t believe this

I wrote about the jigsaw with the piece missing. I came back from dropping some things off at the op shop/thrift store and blow me down, just off to the side of the board that I do my jigsaws on was the missing piece. Sometimes a piece sits on a completed section and blends in. But I’d patted all over the board and had a really good look on the table to the side and on the floor. I just can’t imagine how I missed it. So here’s another photo of the now totally completed jigsaw. I’m going to some friends for dinner tonight. We’ve only become friends here at the village and I’ve been telling them about the kangaroos and birds we used to see and our Music Shack concerts. I’ve put 33 of my favourite photos on a thumb drive to share with them. If their eyes start to glaze over, I’ll leave the drive with them. I’m hoping 33 isn’t too many. I can remember being bored to tears at some of the slide evenings people used to have.

That's a beautiful jigsaw. I love that it has a cat on it. A missing jigsaw piece is kinda the worst nightmare for a jigsaw solver as it takes a lot of time to complete it. It is good that you found it. Yay!

I found this one quite tricky. I was glad it had large pieces rather than regular size ones.

@flapiz There were 500 pieces. I've been borrowing jigsaws from my sister.

I am so glad you found the missing piece, this finishes jigsaw is beautiful. I think that 33 photos to share is a good number and not a boring number. I also remember being bored to tears at some slide evenings with friends.

We will have to do it another night as their devices didn't take a thumb drive. I still can't believe I found the missing piece.

Hey, you’re self-aware enough to know you have to watch out to see if they’re bored. As interesting as everything is that you have shared on Mylot, I doubt they will be. I don’t think I trust that cat.

I've been talking to them about the Music Shack and the birds and kangaroos so there is just a few of each - and a couple of Hercules of course!!

That's such a delightful surprise to find the missing puzzle piece! It must feel great to have completed it. Your dinner plans sound lovely too, sharing memories and stories with new friends. I'm sure they'll enjoy the photos, and 33 sounds like a perfect number to capture your favorite moments without overwhelming them. Have a wonderful evening!

Thanks for the kind words. We didn't see the photos as their note books wouldn't take the thumb drive. We're going to do it another day.

What a stroke of luck to find that piece and without any effort really. It is a lovely puzzle I am sure that one had a degree of difficulty.

@JudyEv It must have been the puzzle fairies, they saw it where it was and moved it so that you would see it and be happy.

That is the most outlandish thing, but I know those puzzle pieces can be tricky. If the slides make for good discussions they should not get too bored.

The cat in the pic really had its eye on that blue jay doesn't it? Maybe you could show the pics briefly so as not to take too long with each one.

Thanks. They didn't know us in our 'previous life' so there is one of the house then several each of the Music Shack, the birds and kangaroos and of course Hercules, my pet sheep. I don't think it will be too many but I'll look for signs of boredom! lol
