5/31/24 - Update on My Husband

Spoke with my husband last night. He is OK. Physical therapy was OK. No steps or working on his getting in and out of bed.
The Social Worker did not call me back in the morning; so I called her again in the afternoon and caught her in her office! Ha! She said she will send the head of Physical Therapy an email telling him to call me.
The clock is ticking. We have already been on self-pay for 20 days. I had hoped my husband would be home by mid-June; but it's not looking too good.

@Marilynda1225 — it’s the absolute truth. They “charge” $1,200 a day to the insurance company, but they write at least 3/4 of that off.

You really need to demand that they make sure he gets out of bed every day even if it is only for 5 minutes a day.

@LindaOHio That is an unacceptable behaviour, you pay for his services, the least he could do is to call you.

Hope you hear from the PT head about what's going on. They really need to give you an idea of how long your hubby will be there before he'll be able to come home. That's a lot of money for you to be spending without an answer.

Time for that OMbudsman to light a fire under them or find someone who will. Paying through the nose and they don't even have the decency to call you back..Don't let them get away with that!

He will want to be as strong as possible when he comes home so he does not have a relapse. I know it is awfully hard on both of you.
