In fashion at last

The photo shows one leg of my jeans. They have seen a lot of wear but are now looking quite fashionable as they have at last got tears in them. I might keep wearing them for a bit longer. What do you think? Then again, perhaps it’s time to throw them out. When I was young, torn jeans were mended and certainly not worn in public. How times have changed.

And then put it up for sale, I'll bet you'd get a tidy sum for it

They are in style now I believe. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing tattered jeans as I don't like the stylish look so much.

I wouldn't be comfortable wearing these out in public. They'll probably go in the bin soon unless I make them into shorts.

I mended those of my husband, those are still good to wear at home when he has some hard jobs to do. I do not care if they are in fashion, he is not going to wear them to go out.

Fair enough. I wouldn't let Vince wear torn jeans either.

@JudyEv I let him wear the thorn jeans ONLY if he only goes up to the main street to dispose of the garbage.

It boggles my mind how much money people are paying for ripped jeans. How in the world did this trend catch on? I'd say keep wearing yours

@JudyEv shorts would be a good option and still give you some more good years of wear.

@Marilynda1225 I would wear all my old clothes when we were house-sitting but here I feel I need to keep up appearances a little bit more.

I think you are on to something here. They even are broke in and the perfect fit. It is beyond me how people will pay a premium price for pre worn out clothes.

They pay huge prices for frayed hems and torn legs. Not for me. Even these are going to go in the bin soon although I just might make them into shorts for a while.

Keep wearing them, girl. My jeans started to have holes, and because I saw the current style I kept wearing them. There is no shame to be had.

I might make them into shorts. If the other leg hurries up and gets itself a few tears perhaps I'll keep wearing them.

They have and you are in fashion. I have a pair of jean shorts with a couple of rips in. I wear them if I feel like it.

I could cut them off and wear them as shorts. And the shorts could have frayed hems too! lol

I can remember sewing pretty patches on holes in my jeans. I loved the flower, butterfly and lip ones the best.

In my teen years as soon as jeans tore we cut off the legs and wore them as shorts. Make a larger hole and a fashion statement,

I might do that with these. It would save me buying shorts.

It's amazing that people pay so much for torn clothing.
