We're going to a Country and Western night next week

We have a country and western night coming up soon at the clubhouse and we thought we’d put a bit of effort into trying to dress up a bit. Usually fancy dress isn't really our thing.
Vince has a bright emerald green shirt and I’ve bought some bright lime green fringing which I’ll tack across the shoulders front and back. However, I discovered the shirt needs a wash so I’m washing it now and will put the fringe on tomorrow or the next day. He has an Akubra hat which will look the part.
I’m going back to the op shop (thrift store) to buy either a denim jacket or a check shirt and, once I have the shirt, I’ll buy some fringing to add to it. At the Red Dot shop (similar to a dollar shop I guess), I found a pack containing a cowboy hat, a bandanna and a Sheriff’s badge. At least I know what I’m doing now. The event is next Saturday.

I am sure you will be perfectly dressed for the party. I like Akubra hats.
You have great party at your clubhouse. I have a nice Western shirt with a neck bandana and real Native American moccasins that I bought years ago in Nevada. I never wore them.

@JudyEv At home I wear slippers that are easy to get on and off. Those moccasins are not. I would have gladly give them to you... well they are American size 5 (British size 2)
Here is a photo of my moccasins. As you can see no sole, only leather, they are real ones.

We always say we hate dressing up. 
And we do in a way. The two photos I keep putting up were in hired costumes which make it easy.

I hope that you would have been in a lot of fun time.
I personally won't prefer fancy dress unless there is some very special case.

I like your enthusiasm. When there is enthusiasm age takes a back seat. I know it from my own experience.

@JudyEv I have not heard of boot -scooting which you say is a bit of line dancing Whatever it be your participation is what matters. Go for it and enjoy the experience.
