I Bought The Wrong Bread

United States
July 9, 2024 10:40am CST
Happy Tuesday Everyone! another HOT day here and we're under a heat advisory until sometime tomorrow. We got our groceries over the weekend and I decided that I wanted to switch up the bread I usually buy for something different. My daily "go to" is honey wheat but this time I bought rye bread. I love rye bread but didn't realize when I bought it that I didn't pick the seedless and the loaf is loaded with seeds. The taste is fine but the seeds get stuck in my teeth and it's a nuisance. I guess I need to pay more attention to what I'm putting in my cart. I'll eat it but won't enjoy it as much as if it was seedless.

I love rye and would happily eat either one. I haven't had the seedless for ages. Sorry about the seeds getting stuck in your teeth though..

I'm not fond of rye bread although I'm sure it's good for you. I don't getting seeds stuck in my teeth either.

I like rye bread for sandwiches as it is just a wee bit bigger and more sturdy.

Buying bread with seeds in it is always such a disappointment. I hope that you have used it all up somehow.

Rye is my favorite bread. I usually make my own breads. When I make rye, I skip the seeds. I do enjoy the whole grain breads with various seed mixtures, but caraway just isn’t a favorite.

I'm mad at myself for not paying closer attention. The bread is still good but the seeds are annoying

My "go to" bread is one my Kroger/Dillons store sells. It is whole wheat and has 4 grams of fiber in each slice. So healthy. I will occasionally buy rye, seeded or not, or marbled, even. Love the flavor. I also enjoy a good sourdough.

I don’t usually buy bread, but I used to buy rye, and make grilled cheese sandwiches with rye and Muenster cheese. What a treat!

I'm sorry you got seeded bread. I wouldn't like it either. Stay cool in the heat advisory.
