Sad News on the Porwest Front

Next week on Wednesday morning my wife and I will be off to Sanford, Florida for a little trip to visit with some friends who currently live there. A lot of the time when we travel, especially for camping trips, I never take my computer with me and so, it tends to be that no one ever hears from me during that time.
I am incognito, folks.
But we will be staying in a hotel for the entire trip as our friends do not have room in the house to accommodate us. I actually prefer it that way. I need access to my own coffee and my own amenities to some degree.
I am old and regimented. I like to have creature comforts wherever I can have them.
What's the sad news, you ask? Well, I will still be here. On myLot. Probably not to the same extent as a typical day. But I will be here. So, you get no break from me. You have my apologies in advance.
I know it would probably be a nice break for you, to have me absent from the site for at least a week. But you are still going to have to put up with me.
It is what it is.

I am sorry you will not be around a lot. You surely noticed the same for me, I have to take care of my husband who has health problems and this is my reason. Enjoy your trip. I also like to be at a hotel a lot more than to sleep at friends' houses.

Oh for sure. I have definitely noticed your absence. Hopefully things will be looking better for you soon. As for staying at other people's houses, yeah, it's just not my thing. When we go to visit with my wife's cousin Larry and his wife Robin we usually stay at their house, but only because Larry becomes offended if we don't. lol

I understand completely. I often find it difficult to be on myLot as much as I want to be while I’m traveling. Have a safe trip and a good time!

Better than a hotel, I like camping cabins, like KOA. We have seen some pretty decent ones. Much more private. We will see you when we see you, I guess.

There are plenty of those around here. We could have done that and that might be something to consider next time. If I REALLY wanted to, we could have brought the camper, but I wasn't in for the longer drive with it and we have a gas truck, so coordinating gas stops is a bit of a task.

@RasmaSandra We went to New Smyrna Beach and couldn't find a place to park and the wife suggested going to Daytona Beach, but I thought it was too far to drive and it was getting later in the day. We will definitely revisit Sanford/Lake Mary again, and might put Daytona Beach on our list.

When you said "sad news" I thought something happened to you, the wife, or the cats. Actually, Sanford isn't that far from Daytona. (or so I'm told) so you won't be that far from me. (kinda).

I won't be here much either for a week at least. We'll be caravanning here and there but we can get online through our phones if we need to. I probably won't bother unless we're at a camping site with wifi.

I was gonna say you can always mylot from your smartphone. 
Enjoy your trip. Been to Florida only once many years ago and that was only because our cruise ship was sailing from there. Don’t want to go there. Though my brother moved there with his fam during the pandemic.
