Watch your step or you might tread on someone's toes

The photo has nothing to do with the discussion. It’s a native orchid. I wrote about two Australian supermarket chains being taken to task for shonky/dishonest/devious practices as regards their pricing. In my responses to responses (!), I found myself saying stuff like ‘they need to 'watch their step’ and the authorities are keeping them ‘on their toes’ – both phrases having to do with feet. Other sayings mentioning feet are ‘underfoot’ and ‘downtrodden’ and 'stepping on toes'. So then my mind went to their practices being ‘underhand’. Got any more body part sayings to add?

Yeah, it's a threat I've heard boys say to one another in HS whenever they're angry about something the other has done @Orson_Kart

I can not think of anymore sayings. Underhanded used to be said a lot where I worked.

Far from the eyes far from the heart, comes to my mind. Break a leg to wish good luck. Cost an arm and a leg is another.

@judyev Yes, but it’s below the belt and not suitable for mixed company. Well ok then, one hears the expression “yer balls is beef” in these parts, loosely questioning a person’s common sense.
