We were a bit overdue for a spaghetti night, so I made up a batch, and it was as delicious as ever with plenty leftover. The only change I made was that I had half a box of regular spaghetti noodles and half a box of fettucine noodles, and even though I would normally not combine them, I was like...they're noodles. What's the difference? So, I used them up. Alongside I made some poor man's garlic bread which always fills the bill cheaply and effectively. And as you can tell by the picture, I really like my Parmesan and parsley. It was good eats. What went on your dinner table last night?

I had some really good baked salmon and a green salad. I was more tired than I was hungry, so it was more than enough.

You can't go wrong with salmon. I'd cook it at home if the wife liked it, but she doesn't care for it, so the only time I get to eat it is when we are out.

@MarieCoyle I have tried to make it several different ways and she has not liked any of them, even sharing some that I get at the restaurant I get and she doesn't like that either. Oh well.

That sounds yummy. We fried trout and white perch yesterday with fried corn bread and Italian roasted potatoes...my version of potato brabrant.

@porwest It's basically roasted potatoes with oil and Italian seasoning, onion powder, and salt and pepper either roasted in the oven or microwave.

@1creekgirl Oh. Nice. That sounds good, and something I have probably made. In fact, I am sure I have.

I do love me some trout and perch. I have never heard of potato brabrant. Might have to look it up.

Tonight is spaghetti night here and we'll be having meatballs and Texas toast with ours. I have the spaghetti sauce cooking in the crockpot with the meatballs so all I have to do is cook the spaghetti tonight. I love using the crockpot so I don't have to keep stirring the sauce so it doesn't burn on the stove top.

@porwest it's just gotten easier as I've gotten older and I don't have to stand at the stove and keep stirring.

I have never done my sauce in the crockpot, but of course, I see no reason not to.

So was the fettuccine undercooked or was the spaghetti overcooked?

@porwest I don't see how that is possible. They are 2 different thicknesses and have 2 different cooking times.

@NJChicaa Not really. They turned out fine. When I checked them, none were underdone or overcooked. Whenever I cook noodles, I cook all of them about the same amount of time and have never had underdone or overcooked noodles. I generally cook noodles between 12 and 15 minutes.

Sounds good, but buffalo chicken is a bit spicy for me.

@LindaOHio Usually when I see the word buffalo, it just means hot.

We had a yummy stir-fry last night. I think Vince put lemon juice in it as it had a lovely tang.

Stir-fry is always good. In fact, I wound up making one last night for dinner.
