Have You Ever Seen This When Filling Up At Gas Station?

When I saw this last night at the gas station, I immediately thought, "this had to be a Walmart shopper!" Too funny, right? Seriously though, who pumps gas by putting the nozzle in a funnel to go into your gas tank? What is the purpose? I joked with my husband and told him that the dude wanted to make sure he was getting clean gas! Then on another note and back to the Walmart shopper reference, why is there a new tag still on his pants?? Did he wear a new pair of pants out of the store and leave his old pants in the dressing room? This was just one of those sights that make you go hummmm! What is a weird sight that you have come upon lately? Photo Credit: My own

No. I personally haven't. I know George's pumping gass when it starts talking. But, other then that. I have never seen anything like that. Maybe he's a bit of a germophobe and doesn't want to put the nosle thing on his car?

I don't know, just totally weird! I could see that if he was wearing gloves and didn't want gas on him, but pumping into the funnel was just risking the chance of really getting a lot of gas on him.

The tag on his pants is even more questionable than the funnel. I would have the same question!!

Well my husband was just amazed at the funnel. He didn't notice the tag on the pants until I asked him to please forward the photo to me so I could post here and I asked him if he noticed the tag on the dude's pants. NOPE! Men can be unobservant!

@MarieCoyle It's weird because he was in law enforcement since we have been married, over 43 years ago. I always notice things on the highway that he doesn't. He says that he has his eyes on the road. I notice these things when I'm driving and don't have a problem with the road.

@kareng I often think women are more observant. Even my son said one day that I notice things he never notices...so maybe it's true.

He might have a leak there. Hubby had a truck that did. Never thought of doing that but it might have helped. As for the pants I agree with you

Wouldn't the nozzle go in far enough to miss the leak? The funnel would be about the same as the spout on the gas tank. My hubby just remarked that anyone wearing pants in public like that is not there all the way anyway. Yep!!

@kareng depends how the funnel is made. But he did need to get that tag off

I haven't seen anything weird recently. I would wonder about the tagged pants too. Have a good day.

This entire scenario makes no sense to me. But hey, it's the world we live in, right? Luckily there ARE people like this in the world. Makes for great fodder for posts on myLot. lol

I agree! Was wondering if I was missing something there!! And yes, it is our crazy world. My hubby was amused as well and took the photo to send to his brothers. I asked for him to forward to me just to make a post on it!

That's a new sight to me. Only time I might distance myself from the nozzle is if it leaked- that happened to me once. Got gas all over the place. I never went back to that station.

That is understandable. It was splashing some with this dude. I just don't get it! Much safer putting the nozzle in your tank like you are supposed to!

Perhaps he stole the pants. People certainly do some funny things.

Or just didn't care. Bought them and pulled them on to wear without pulling tags off. Who knows.
