Tuesday Morning Brief

Good morning from Green Bay, Wisconsin, where the temperature is 27 F, the snow is white and beautiful and I can hear. 
I ordered hearing aids from Amazon. I got tired of not hearing and not getting a call back from my audiologist because my hearing aids don't work and haven't worked in a long time. I saw a commercial on TV for hearing aids and thought, why not? I received them last night and after charging them; I have them in place. They're bluetooth hearing aids and work fantastic. They're a little big for my ears, so keeping them in can pose a problem. I'll figure out how to keep them in full time. They come with three sizes for the ear buds. I have the smallest pair of them.
If any of you watched Monday Night Football last night, you know the Packers won in a total first time this season in the NFL shutout with a score 34-0 over the Saints here at Lambeau. If you didn't watch it, now you know the Pack won.
My plans for today include getting work done on a book or two. I'll also get the apartment cleaned and ready for Christmas. My son's girlfriend called a couple of days ago. We're having Christmas on Thursday instead of tomorrow and I don't need to bring anything. I was going to make two sides, but she told me I didn't need to. I will make an applesauce raisin loaf cake though. It's been on the Christmas table since I can remember. I found Mom's recipe in a Betty Crocker cookbook and got the ingredients for it when I went shopping. I'll make it tomorrow.
I'll also try to get caught up here and write a post on Word Press as well. Keeping up with two sites isn't easy.

Today, I’m going to my dad’s to exchange presents. We go to the Tulsa area for Christmas with the rest of the family tomorrow, so we take today to open a present to each other, and have a regular lunch together.

It's currently storming here and has been since about 2 am. I overslept my meds taking time by three hours, which is really unusual for me. But, I didn't need to take blood pressure meds, which is nice (and also unusual for me).
The only things on my "to do" list today is to divide ground beef and ground pork into freezer bags. (3/4 of a lbs of beef and 1/4 lbs of pork into each bag and freeze them for use later this month.) I do this once a month. I also need to water the houseplants.. (I've already watered the fish.

Enjoy your White Christmas. Fortunately ours melted!!!! Today we will go visit my husband and afterwards my husband's 2nd cousin will make dinner at my house. Have a wonderful Christmas.

That's great about the new hearing aids. Glad you are getting your snow, but it can stay there! lol. Here we got some rain this evening...I am fine with that.
Tomorrow we are going to have Christmas dinner with my mom and open gifts then....but it'll be in the evening since she has to work.

Friend and Jax will be down a bit later. We our eating our turkey dinner today because tomorrow after we open presents will go to a movie I am running a cycle of vinegar in the dishwasher right now..as it was buzzing previously, so far so good though. I also vinegar and baking soda in the drain and I think that was effective

I am glad to hear that you are happy with your new hearing aids. The Packers won, huh? I bet you are a happy camper. That cake sure sounds good.
I will probably go watch "The Bishop's Wife" with Loretta Young and Cary Grant.

My boyfriend came down on Christmas Eve. We went to my great-aunt's house for a family get-together. I gave two presents to two cousins. They both loved their gifts. Some cousins didn't come though. So it wasn't the whole family.
