We will be visiting today with the pork roast dinner.
I got excited yesterday because my husband called; but it turns out he was confused. Said he got into some trouble and was arrested. He said that the beds were the same where he is. Sigh.
Thank you for your continued prayers, support and thoughts.

I'm with @crossbones27 Let him think he is an outlaw.
Seriously though he needs to be seen by a doctor or neurologist. There are medications that can slow the progression of dementia and help to keep him relaxed and lucid. It is unacceptable that he hasn't been evaluated yet.

Giood morning miss lady. Pork roast sounds great. Enjoy. Men always up to no good what ever their age. You go to any jail, never as comfortable as what the wife can provide. Stay true, only people that can keep them honest.

@LindaOHio Go with it, let him be a outlaw for a day. I do not know I heard sometimes things work like that when they get confused for a bit anyway, You a very good wife. either way. Probably much better than he deserves.

@crossbones27 Oh, no. He deserves the best wife he can get. He's really a good guy and a good husband. He just gets confused now and loses his temper more often.

Glad you got to speak with your husband, even if it was during a moment of of confusion. Your meal sounds delicious, and I hope you have a wonderful time eating with your husband.

So sorry he is confused. It must feel like a prison to him being told what and when to do stuff. I am glad he called you, though.

I feel so bad only seeing him once a week. This is my husband; and I'm used to seeing him every day.

@LindaOHio Yes you do. And, as I keep telling you, If he is deemed lucid by the doctor, and he wants to come home, by law that is his right. And if the doctor is any good they will put the wheels in motion to make that happen. At the end of the day, it's what's in the best interest of your husband and your husband is the patient.

@LindaOHio He does, we both know that.
But what about the idea of helping him with his cognitive impairment?
Maybe a fun picture of the 2 of you on his wall would give him focus, and help him when he feels as he did, it might be of great comfort for him.

@Juliaacv I have a picture of us that I could scan. We both look a little different; but I'm sure he'll recognize it. Thank you for the suggestion.

As long as he is not in pain! When my hubby was very ill, all I wanted was that he did not suffer.
