And then there were four

Some of you would know that Vince’s two elder brothers have been very sick; one for some years but the other just for a month or two. The oldest died on Friday and the younger died a day later. Their birthdays were on the same day and they came close to dying on the same day. There are four siblings remaining of the original seven.
Vince and his younger brother visited the younger on the Saturday. He had just been moved to a nursing home in Donnybrook, our old home town. They hadn’t been home for very long when we got the news that he had passed away.
While it’s sad news, they were both ill with no hope of recovery so you couldn’t really wish they were still here. Both with will sorely missed. The elder leaves a wife and four adult children; the younger was a widower and has seven children.
The photo shows the older brother with his grandchildren. He had worked in the railways all his life and maintained a passionate interest in trains.

We all have to go one day and hopefully without much suffering And that is not in our hands.
Sad to know about the two deaths so close to each other I can imagine what Vince must be going through.

@JudyEv True... Mom was laughing about it when she told me what happened.

@DaddyEvil I guess it would have looked a bit suspicious.

Please let Vince know that I am so sorry for his double loss, and I’m sorry for you losing two brothers in law in24 hours. I know you said they were very devoted to their faith, and I pray their faith is a comfort to the families.

So sorry, but it probably helps knowing it was coming. It wasn't a passing where everyone was shocked.

So sorry. And sorry the younger one didn't get his wish. I remember you said he wanted to do something first.

I am sorry for your family, a double loss so close together. As you said, they did have long lives and no hope of recovery, but they will still be missed very much.

I am sure you are doing all that is humanly possible to try to help.
I love the picture of the brother with his grands, and the big train set up. Lots of memories made there.
