Under Another Weather Alert Today

We have another system moving through my area today with bad weather expected later this afternoon/evening. We woke up to 20mph winds.
The electricity has been blinking on and off all morning, so expecting it to go out when the thunderstorms hit. We have tornadoes possible and large hail. Wind gusts up to 42 mph later today. Hoping we get neither one of those first too and don't want wind that high either!!
Anyhow, if you don't see me around today, that is why!

@FourWalls It did. We had a tornado that passed over, but it didn't touch down! How was it in your area?

We're getting gusts of wind around 20 mph or so, according to the weather channel. Tonight the wind speed is supposed to hit up to 50 mph...
Take care. I hope neither of us see tornados, snow, hail or wind gusts that high. Good luck! We've already had two thunderstorms pass through with more on the way.

@DaddyEvil It is very quiet here now that the storm has passed. We did have a tornado that passed over but it didn't touch down. Thank goodness!

We're getting that system today in north Florida. They've been warning us for several days that we could be in for some nasty weather, but it seems like the severity of it has fizzled out. Most of the morning today has been nothing but a light drizzle.

@moffittjc Yes, they call this area Tornado Valley. We seem to get more than our share, and if there is any truth to Solar Farms being tornado magnets, we are in TROUBLE!

Yes, very windy and rainy, we have wind warnings until midnight tomorrow. We had a rather loud thunderstorm earlier, now just rain. And weirdly, the weather people claim it could snow for a little while Wednesday evening? It's 50 degrees, if it snows it's not going to stick.

@MarieCoyle Yes, the winds were horrible and now it is as quiet as a mouse! We didn't lose power either, thankfully!

Keep your electronics charged if possible. We were warned that while we won't have tornadoes, the winds could hit very hard.

@Tampa_girl7 At least it wasn't for hours!! I hope Saturday's weather misses us, especially with thunderstorms and high winds. We did lose a big limb out of one of the pecan trees. Lots of burning here soon. Hubby has been clearing along fence row to move the travel trailer over there. The trailer spot is going to be the cabin spot now. He decided that y original suggestion made more sense. Ha!

It did rain that late morning with tornado watches in the area until 3 pm today. Thank goodness the rain is now out of my area.

You are not alone with that windy weather you're having. My area has had high winds all week no tornado warnings thank goodness. March is sure coming in like a lion.
