Just Made Myself Some Easy Hot Cinnamon Sticks

And it only took a few minutes.
I cut some Wonder Bread into slices, like sticks.
I fried them in avocado oil.
Took them out after a few seconds and tossed them in powdered sugar and cinnamon.
They are what I was craving.
Usually I won't have sugar but today I will.
Have you ever made these?

They sound delicious and look delicious too...I have never tried them. But after your post, I am craving for it. I am on a zero sugar diet strictly for this month, I need to distract myself.

@RebeccasFarm I am determined, I want my diabetes fully under control for my surgery in May. Also, it would be good to loose 2 kilos if possible.

I used to get cinnamon cravings. Made cinnamon rolls and such any way I could. They are tasty with the craving hits.

@RebeccasFarm ........I went through a time where I was fixated on them. Tried several different recipes. I tend to like the pecan rolls best.

@RebeccasFarm Pretty didn't wake up until after I fell asleep last night so I didn't get to mention the cinnamon sticks. I'll write a note for her this time and see if she's interested in me making them.
Edit to add: I wrote the recipe down and put the note with my phone so Pretty will see it even if I'm asleep this afternoon. Thank you for the recipe.

No, I haven't, but they sound wonderful!
The closest thing I've made is a slice of white bread, put butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top, then under a broiler until the butter and sugar are dissolved.

@RebeccasFarm The hard part was being sure the sugar was cooled so you don't burn your mouth!

I have known people who did canned biscuits and cut a hole in the middle and did this for mini donuts. It sounds like a great treat.

This is a new recipe for me. We do try to make cakes in Oven but nothing like that.
Sounds quite nice & tasty.
So did you had this delicacy with Coffee?
Have a nice day ahead !

@RebeccasFarm I might try it with some other oil. I don't have avocado oil although I guess it's in the shops.

Cinnamon is a big favorite of mine. Anytime the store has cinnamon buns on sale I buy them. The best is topped with a whipped cream, umm.
Crazy fun cinnamon fact: you can lighten your hair with cinnamon. Mixing a few spoonsfuls of cinnamon into a paste — with honey or actual conditioner — will lighten your hair once applied and allowed sunshine to get at it.
You can become a "Cinnamon Girl"
