Cheesecake at the clubhouse

The photo has nothing to do with the discussion. These lambs were having such fun. You’ve seen it before. I don’t have all my photos back yet.
Every Friday, it’s ‘social night’ at our clubhouse. A few weeks ago, only two people turned up, mainly because there was a music quiz on the next night and some oldies can’t cope with two late nights in a row. 
So numbers vary wildly from week to week. Last night there were over 30. We put in our orders for fish and chips, or pizza, during the day then one person picks up the orders and brings them back to the clubhouse. It works well.
It was Vince’s birthday and we took a cheesecake to share but it wasn’t going to cut into 30 pieces. Luckily, another resident was having a birthday and, as the wife knew about Vince’s, she took two cakes so we were all able to indulge in a bit of sweetness after our main course.
Vince had a great evening with a lot of fuss made of him and I think today is going to be a quiet day although we’re going to a concert this evening.

I am glad that Vince had such a great birthday, I wish him a belated Happy Birthday.
I hope that the next year will be much more gentle for him health-wise.
I have often wondered about the fish that would enjoy living where you do.
What kinds of fish are favorites?
I personally love the lake perch caught on the Great Lakes, which is my region.
I will need to place our order for fish and chips take out for Good Friday early next week.

@JudyEv That is interesting, I just read up a little on the barramundi.
I really enjoy lake caught fresh fish.
This summer we aren't planning a regular vacation, probably a long weekend type of thing, but the location that I have picked is on a deep lake-where I know there will be house specials in most restaurants of fresh fish.
The fresh fish we get here is brought in daily, but up there the waters are a little colder and the fish will have a nicer flavour, and they will be alot more reasonable to purchase.
