So lets see what I got for $55 today from Walmart.
I got half a pound of ginger root for $1.93.
18 oz of Pete's French Roast ground coffee for $15,97.
64 oz of Great Value Half and Half for $5.64.
20 oz Great Value mustard for .98 cents.
4.5 pounds of lean ground chuck for $24.43.
16 oz of GV Parmesan Cheese for &5.48
A huge garlic bulb fresh for .64 cents.
Is that an average price for meat where you are?

The price of meat here depends on where they come from. Local and those imported from China are cheaper. Japanese and US meat are more expensive.

Meat is more expensive in my country. At least the meat I buy which is the best. I spend less in other things though. I do not buy beverages at all.

I don't buy much meat if I can help it too. No beverages for me either.

Grocery prices are crazy. I heard that coffee prices are going up and I've noticed an increase last time I bought one at Sam's Club. Your ground beef is slightly more than here but not by much

@RebeccasFarm I don't know how expensive coffee would have to get for me to stop buying it.

Not bad at all. I remember when my grandmother could get a good-sized roast( big enough to feed four of us) for $3. Those days are LONG gone.

It seems you got a decent haul for $55! The prices for items like ginger, coffee, and half-and-half seem pretty standard. However, $24.43 for 4.5 pounds of lean ground chuck does seem a bit high compared to some areas. Prices can vary significantly depending on location and the store, though. How does that compare to your regular grocery shopping?
