First vacation of the year at last - it's been quite a long cold and wet winter but Spring is sprung and the sun is shining brightly on us now.
And the temperature is 15C!!
We have been here twice before and my wife said she wanted to come here again before she died, so here we are.
Having nearly lost her on Feb 2023 I tend to act quickly on suggestions or requests she makes but she made a really good recovery and has not needed medical intervention since.
Jimlos care package works well lol.
Anyway, the vacation. It's a lovely place, a wigwam/pod holiday park. It's out in the country just over 100 miles north of where we live.
The last time we were here it was late October and we had the place to ourselves. It's looking very quiet again which suits us very well.
It's a self contained wooden pod with a double bed, a fridge and kettle and a toaster.
There is also a communal kitchen and lounge - I will attach images to let you all see how nice it is.
Just shortly we will be going 10 miles to the nearest town to buy some food to cook for Dinner and pick up a few other things also.
I hope it's going to be a long bit summer, I really do.

Wow... I'm loving that temperature. Just the thought of the environment and the surroundings being so cool makes me feel envious
That's because we are having 40+ degree celsius for the last month. Remember, it's degree celsius, making it hotter than you may imagine.

@Ineeddentures My friend, Scotland is far cooler than our place. I don't think it'll be easy for you to get accustomed to this weather. Even we are perspiring and trying to cope up with the things by being indoor.

Yes indeed. It's a fine just warm enough but not too hot temperature we have here in Scotland.
I do not envy you at all for 40 degrees plus because to be honest with you, a temperature like that could kill both my wife and I.

That would be my main concern, the heat and humidity but I still think India would be a great place to visit. So much to see. And eat lol

It really is.
And we are the only residents at the moment.
When we were here in late October we were alone then as well.
So relaxing

It really is and that is why we come here.
It's worth the long drive.
I mean we live in a small rural town but this is different level quiet.
The loudest sound is a Blackbird shouting

I wish I never said I lost her now when we were shopping.
She has been well now since about this time in 2023.
Nothing else.scary has happened and she hasn't needed the hospital again.
She isn't able to do as much as she could do say one year ago, but she hopefully isn't anyway near needing an oxygen machine yet.
She likes our tours and holidays too much to be stuck at home on oxygen,
She says " make hay whilst the sun shines"

It's a really cool place. This is our 3rd or 4th visit here. It's quiet but close enough to 3 decent size towns and miles and miles of wonderful scenic coastline.
Jimlos is the best I could think of
Jimlos Tooth.
Because recently I had a tooth fall out.

Hope you and Mrs.Jimlos enjoy the quiet spot. Are pod places common out there? I'm not sure if there are any here locally - and even if there were, it sure wouldn't be quiet - probably be too crowded in fact.
Ah, so it is indeed "you"

Lol it's me!!
Old 45 now almost 65.
20 years almost since I found this place.
It seems that here there are glamping pods almost every where.
People making lots of money , from people like us who can't be bothered pitching tents anymore and these pods give a few home comforts like a nice big double bed, a fridge and a kettle.
The kitchen/lounge is like a home from home. I cook every night. Not many glampers use the facilities.
It's just like being at home.

Wednesday will soon be here and home we will go
But it won't be long until we are having another wee holiday.

It's a lovely place. It's just inland from the Moray coast in Scotland and the climate is the big attraction. It got to 18C today which for Scotland in April is pretty good.
So much to explore along the coast.
Going to the Dolphin centre tomorrow about 6 miles away. Been a few times but never saw any Dolphins.
Here's hoping

Thank you.
It is fun no doubt about that. Lots to do, see, and explore. The Moray Coast in Scotland is wonderful and varied.
Romantic, it certainly is. We hadn't held hands walking along a beach since the last time we were here in October. It's my wife's favourite holiday stop and I think little breaks like this keep the romance alive and after 28 years together I think still having that romance in our lives is awesome.

Haha. Lol
They are open all day and all night here. But the onsite cafe closed during COVID I believe and did not reopen.
There is a games room.
Table tennis, no balls and one bat
Pool, with no water or cues and a table football where I think people who got pissed off when they were losing ripped the sticks with the men on them out

It's communal bogs and showers Mon Ami.
I'm a tally glad it doesn't have a toilet inside if the after effects.of.the Thai Green Curry the other night are anything to go by
My sense of smell returned after more than a year away.
Communal bogs are best, now everyone can share my curry.

Those pods look great. So good to hear your wife is doing well and you're able to go on holidays here and there. 15C is a great temperature but perhaps a little on the chilly side for us. Thankfully most of our really hot weather has gone but they're suggestion 30C next Friday. That's a tad warm.

It's over two years since Yvonne had any medical intervention which is really good because in Feb 2023 I thought she was a goner.
Last year we were only away 4 months.
The year before after Yvonne recovered it was May till September we were on holiday.
I find 15C is about right for me wearing bike gear. Any hotter and it's very uncomfortable.
I couldn't handle 30C and it would kill Yvonne.

Sadly it's home again on Wednesday.
The plan is to get the garden up to scratch.
And then head somewhere else for a week.
Another peaceful retreat.
We will do this all summer , until the end of October.
We camp in tents, we glamp and we go to big caravans.
We use a motorbike. The great outdoors and fresh air are amazing.
Every year we get older, we seem to do more and more holidays.
