Sloppy Joes

The history of the sloppy joe is a bit messy, much like the sandwich itself, with a few competing origin stories.
Do you like them or have you ever had them?
Do you add anything different to yours?
One popular theory traces its roots back to Sioux City, Iowa, in the 1930s. Legend has it that a cook named Joe at Floyd Angell's café added tomato sauce to the region's popular "loose meat" sandwich (a simpler version with just seasoned ground beef on a bun), creating a saucier, more "sloppy" version that became a hit.

I like them but I make Sloppy Joes with more onion and a mix of ground beef and ground pork.

@dfollin I mix 3/4 lbs hamburger with 1/4 lbs sausage and dice 1/2 an onion into a skillet and brown those, then drain off the liquids before adding a can of Chunky Manwich.

@RebeccasFarm I just ordered ground beef, buns and Manwich sauce.I am not going to go all out when I am just cooking for myself. I always put cheese on top.
