My housekeeper will finally be coming over on Sunday. Monday she wants to get out quickly because she has to go to a Cinco de Mayo party. The next project in line is to get the dryer vent cleaned out. It's never been cleaned in the 20+ years that we lived here. Hubby always said he would do it..... What's new in your life? Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Meatball sandwich, potato wedges, mixed veggies, banana Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin Dinner - Turkey/cheddar sandwich and Cheetos What did you eat yesterday? I picked up our car from the garage today. It's running really well again. I did all kinds of things today, from picking up trash in the yard to talking to repairmen, one of whom works on appliances. He took a look at the washing machine and will order the parts it needs then fix it when he gets the parts I'm tired but a lot of stuff got done.

I've found a new recipe I want to try for chicken pot pie using Red Lobster biscuits (since I can't make a pastry crust!)

It will take months to declutter and downsize the whole house, garage and basement.

That's good she'll come over then. Sounds like a big project. The potato wedges sound good! I forget what I had yesterday. Not much new here - still waiting for good news.

It's pretty expensive; but I figure it's not something that I need to get done every year.

I have to go outside to get to the dryer vent and it's never been cleaned out either, in fact until I read your discussion it never occurred to me to try.

Brother is recovering nicely. I’m away from the Derby insanity. Nothing new. I had chicken-stuffed baked potatoes from two different restaurants yesterday: Buddy’s BBQ for lunch, and Corky’s for dinner.

My electric skillet fried up some onions with seasoned fries and sweet potato fries and a pork sausage patty.

It's easy to put things off but in the long run it doesn't pay.

Geez, usually I tell my wife she doesn't have to remind me every six months about something I said I'd do. 20 years might be a record. lol For dinner I changed it up and made pan fried pork chops with buttered kernel corn on the side along with a Great Value Knorr knockoff. It was good eats even if pork chops always turn out a bit drier than I'd like.

My husband used to make pork steaks with cream of mushroom soup in our electric skillet. Cooked until the meat was tender. That was one of the few dishes he could handle.

Great minds think alike. We're having duct cleaning done in our house this summer. We've been here 11 years and never done it and who knows if it was done in the 9 years before that when it was built.
