Reasons for my absence

Things haven't been easy around here since the beginning of the year.
In January we found out that my cousin has lymphoma. He's like a big brother to me and I've been giving him all the support I can. He's already had chemotherapy and is now undergoing radiotherapy. It seems that the disease was caught in an early stage and everything is going well.
My daughter has been sick every month, always with the same symptoms, headache, tiredness and body aches. Finally, at the beginning of April, they did blood tests and discovered that her iron levels were extremely low. She is already taking medication and has not gotten sick again.
In January my sister decided to come to Portugal for a few months while the violence situation in Mozambique continues. I have been supporting her with the children whenever I can.
In April my mother fell, fractured her collarbone and hurt her back and foot badly. My sister and I have to help her every day. It hasn't been easy.
This week we had a blackout and were without electricity and communications for an entire day.
There was more to say but I tried to summarize as much as possible. I hope everything is well with you all.
The photos is me on a swing we visited this month.

I've been having trouble with photos on myLot lately, too. I hope you can get yours to post. Good luck with it!
I always wonder if things are okay with you and your family when you're gone for a while... I'm glad your cousin and daughter are both doing better. (Pretty had low iron a couple of years ago. That was scary! But things are fine now.)
I remember your sister visiting for a while and then returning to Mozambique. I hope things have settled down there now.
Oh, no! I hope your mom is healing well now.
It's terrible when you have no electricity! I'm sorry that happened and hope it doesn't happen again any time soon.
Things have gotten back to "normal" for us since the tornado took out electricity to our city for two days as well as telephone towers and internet repeaters. We're okay but, as you say, being without electricity and communications is terrible!

@nela13 I'm glad you could add your photo. That is a beautiful photo. I could look at scenery like that all day.
You're very welcome.
The pain was sciatica and the chiropractor fixed it, thank you.

My goodness, this is telephaty! I checked your profile yesterday, I wanted to send you a message to know if everything was fine. I am sorry you had so many problems, I hope things are getting better for you.
My husband developed senile dementia, it's very hard and exhausting to take care of him.
We sold our big house in Switzerland and moved to a nice modern 3 bedroom apartment in Italy, closer to my family. Take care.

That is an awful lot to cope with in such a short space of time. The one good thing is that your daughter is now doing much better. I hope your cousin improved with his treatment. Catching cancer early can make all the difference. I hope you'll be able to post occasionally but sending prayers and positive vibes for better days ahead.
