I have three colors blooming right now and it smells so good as well as looking pretty. I need to divide them this year.
This is a medium lavender, I have white and one that I call mahogany right now. Yellow will open soon.
Something pretty to enjoy in the yard.

How pretty. My mom used to have nearly every color you could think of. Yellow, blues, purples, ---- so lovely.

About five years ago my friend gave me some really exceptional ones. I am sure you have lovely memories of your mom's flowers.

It is very pretty.
Here the flowering trees are just finishing with the winds that we have had yesterday and today.
The bulbs-tulips and daffidols are up and in flower.
Towards the third week of the month it will be considered 'safe' to plant vegetable plants and flowers.
It is so nice to be able to enjoy the different weather and flowers that you have.

Of course we are warmer than you are being quite a bit south. I had tulips and daffodils earlier. I am looking forward to being outside more. I would like to have some lilacs.

Iris are always pretty and smell great! We have iris plants beside the pampas grass at the corner of the front porch but ours bloomed in March.
We didn't plant them. They were already here when we moved in and they rarely bloom at all. Last year was the first time I'd seen them blooming. They're a purplish-blue in color.

They are very durable plants. One thing that keeps them from blooming is if the rhizomes get buried too deep.

@GardenGerty I think these are just old bulbs and probably need to be divided. The ones that have bloomed only started doing that after we planted the pampas grass beside them.

A friend gave me one that is almost black, but I do not really have any deep purple. That is such a pretty color.

Beautiful. Our flower garden is overgrown with weeds.

Iris seem to choke weeds out, at least in their immediate vicinity.
