Gone Too Soon.

When l came out on the veranda this morning l was greeted by the lovely sight of an open bloom on my hibiscus plant. I snapped a picture but couldn't post it, so the picture posted looks exactly the same - but it is from google. I have had this plant since 2012. It was a gift from my sister who died in 2016. Unfortunately these beautiful flowers only last a day - by evening this one will wilt and die..l always wish they would stay around longer. However, they go too soon - like my sister did. Do you have any relatives or close friends who passed on too soon? Pixabay image.

Yes, friends and family have passed too soon, in my opinion, of course.

As far as I am concerned, any loss is far to soon.

@porwest We miss them all the same - though it is a bit more distressing when they leave too soon.

There are just things that are too difficult to accept especially if it was a loss of our loved ones. But I believe that the Almighty has a plan for everyone of us. Each has been given a different timeline. We need to live, do good things and serve the Lord.

Some flowers are beautiful but they only last one day, it is a shame. My Dad passed on too soon.

My mother lived almost 20 years longer than my father. That plant is special to me, but l am thinking of investing in some rose bushes.

It's like our cherry blossom tree in the front. It blooms for a few days in the spring and then it's done. It's a shame, even if the flowers it produces can be a bit of a mess.

There is a lovely hibiscus in the garden that I noticed yesterday. I hope it's still there so I can take a photo of it.

Surely if you do, and post it, it will have nothing to do with the post that it accompanies.

We learn this lesson through living our life, I think--that people are often taken way too soon. It's just so difficult and heartbreaking. My first child, my sister, and the list goes on and on...yet life can leave us these little reminders of them. Like your special, lovely flower. We never forget them, I always consider the reminders to be special moments that maybe they are thinking of us, too. Your flower is lovely.

Thank you. Life is not always a bed of roses. I can imagine how heartbreaking it was for you losing your first child.

@Kandae11 I know that there are quite a few people here who have lost a child. No, it sure isn't easy at all. Life kicks too hard at times, for us all, in different ways.

My elder brother passed a year ago. He passed just a couple of days after he stayed in hospital. That was unexpected.
