This is literally the most insane answer sheet I've seen in 24 years of teaching

On Friday the students had a test on evolution. Fine. Whatever. Normal. They were outraged that it was 30 questions instead of the usual 25 but I was like "get over it". In any case they got through it as easily as they normally do. Some did very well and some did not so well. Nothing new.
My eyes about popped out of my head when I got to this answer sheet. Um. . . what? Pick an answer. Did the student think I would give them credit if one of the choices (out of 4) was correct? And it wasn't just for 1 or 2 questions.
Needless to say that every one of those *this or that* answers was marked wrong and the student failed. I don't even understand what thinking would consider that answer strategy a good idea after 9 months of being in my class.

That was a stupid thing for him to do. Maybe he didn’t know some of the answers but marketing ng one he thought could be right would have given him a chance to get a few right.

Hey! I can’t see anywhere where NJ says the student was a “he”. Sexist!

Did the questionnaire ask for only one answer per question? If not, then it seems fair to give more than one if applicable.

Maybe that student is hoping you'll give them credit for being "creative" with their answers?

That's the first time I've seen anything like that.
