Not exactly on wheels

Our counselor explained that all the Careers on Wheels (cow) activities involved transportation, even though this medical helicopter did not have wheels.
This was one of ten career stations outside of our school on Wednesday May 14.
I am really surprised, in a positive way, that we are talking with even our five year olds about real jobs around them. People need to work and there are many more choices than I ever realized.
Presenters talked about what they do, and how much education they had to have for each of their jobs. Not all of them require college education. It was fun for the kids because some of their presenters were family members or neighbors.
I was glad the activity was in the morning. It got up to 91 F in the afternoon. We spent a little over two hours outside, learning about jobs.

Wow! That's too hot for this time of year! We didn't get that hot yesterday.
I'm sure you and the kids had a good time. Did you find a new career yesterday?

That would have been really interesting for the kids. It's good it was over before the worst of the heat arrived.

Kids are growing up so much faster nowadays. I think it's good to get kids thinking about their possible interests early in life. I hope the kids were all well hydrated before spending that amount of time in the heat.

Something the kids can really use and glad it was not too long in the heat,

I guess its never to early to think about how to make money. The world is pretty tough. That sounds interesting as well as fun.
