Finbarr is checking me out

We are house-sitting our niece’s place. Our duties include looking after their two cats, Finbarr and Dominic. They are as neurotic as can be and most days we hardly see them at all.
Finbarr, which is the one in the photo, is the bravest and will sometimes trot through from one end of the house to the other. Today, he got very brave and came over to sniff my shoe. Maybe one days soon, he’ll let me pet him. I hope he hurries as we leave in a couple of weeks.

Finbarr is so cute and adorable. Maybe he is just waiting to be called and it will come near you for a hug.

@RebeccasFarm We rarely see stray cats here. And stray dogs even more rarely. I guess it's a good thing.

Finbar... seems to me I've come across that name in a novel before...
Anyway, this one's a cutie.

@JudyEv I'm thinking it was in a fantasy novel, possibly one of Elizabeth Scarborough's. But I could be wrong.

Well, that is a good news but he could get emotional once your date of departure to home place comes around!

I would call that fear. When I was in the hospital my friends would come to feed my cats and my dog but they only saw my dog but she wouldn't come close because of fear and they never saw the cats. Cats tend to be very fearful of strangers, it's a normal cat thingy

I'd be happy the cats left me alone. I'm allergic to furbabies and the closer the animal(s) get to me, the more allergies I seem to have.1 person likes this

@JudyEv When Pretty can find a stray cat around here, she loves on them and then comes in and I have allergic reactions for a week afterward.

@DaddyEvil Oh, that's awful. My nephew is allergic to horses and is also asthmatic but his wife went and bought a horse. Thankfully they didn't get along so well, her and the horse, and they sold it on. She was dicing with his life really.

By that time, he might decide you are his new mama!

Looks like Finbarr has shed his initial shyness and will soon be around with you.

He might be but he's not even very keen on his own family.
