New variety?

Hmmmm. I walked out my back door and discovered a new species in among the cat mint. I guess I could call the new species Fred cat. He was soaking up some sun and squishing the cat mint. I wondered why there were skinny stalks and a flat area in the middle of the bed. Now I know the answer.
So much going on in my garden. The bees must be having a party on me. Lupine and perennial geraniums, wallflower and balloon flowers, foxglove and strawberry and raspberry blooms. Chives with purple blooms. Snapdragon and petunias. Party hardy, bees and bugs and even some electric blue tiny dragonflies!

You do indeed have a lot going on in your garden.
Cat Mint or Catnip as well call it is a good thing to have as it attracts all the lovely kitty cats in the neighborhood.
And that is a good thing as I like cats

@Ineeddentures There are two: one is cat mint or nepeta and the other is catnip, a bigger and stronger mint. Gardening Buddy brought some catnip over yesterday and Beau Teak kitty right away acted like he was a true pot head.

Aye
Our cat is gets them all stoned.
It's quite funny.
And they are all really good friends when they have had Catnip

@Ineeddentures nope. Beau slaps others when he is under the influence.

Fred found his place of solitude and contentment. Does he smell like mint now?

@MarieCoyle Funny me. I honestly can't smell so I don't know what Fred smells like.

@MarieCoyle Thanks. I've tried to give Fred a good life.

I love his face. I do not know if I have cat nip or cat mint. Either way, Bruno occasionally likes it.

@GardenGerty Catnip is a larger leafed mint. Catmint has feminine teeny lavender flowers and the leaves are soft and kind of petable.

@LindaOhio Truth? I refuse to use Round Up. I live with weeds and some I hoe out. Weeds are just life and sometimes, weeds like dandelions, are habitat for bees.
