Talked to the Doctor...Finally!

Jump for joy!! The doctor called me back this afternoon. She wanted to ask me if it was okay to call in another dermatologist to be there for my appointment next week to consult with. I said sure, no problem--I just want this mystery solved and soon! That led to rescheduling my appointment on Monday to Tuesday, because the other doctor does not work past noon. So, I will go in late Tuesday morning and see what is up. Biopsies were back and inconclusive. 1) Could be from contact from something new, lotions, anything put on skin, detergents, etc. I have used nothing new, so that is pretty much out. 2) A very rare rash. I suppose I will hear more on this at my appointment and why the other doctor was called in. That's the latest. I'm off to shower and get my nighties on after I use some ice packs for a few minutes. @AmbiePam I guess he was either off or schedule was already packed. I bet he is off on Mondays for long weekend.

Tuesday will be here before you know it and hopefully you will have the answer. Does a shower help? Hot or cold?

I hope so! Yes, and cold! Also cold compresses or ice packs are prescribed.

Now this scares me... I too have allergies. Issue is, they were not there just a couple of years ago.

Yes, I have several food allergies. I react to severe sneezing after eating at some places and have no idea what I ate caused the reaction.

@kareng I have something like eczema around my neck. Two years ago, it was a beautiful neck. LOL. Now, I have to wear something that hides the place as it has become gray after so much scratching and then usage of ointments, blah blah. My homeopath thinks it is ring worm. I think not. Because if it were ring worm, it would not come down with injections for allergies. What I have observed is, I am DEFINITELY allergic to brinjals. I am also allergic to eggs, and have issues with milk. Day before yesterday, the RMP asked me to stop using garlic and see. Jesus, he is going to ask me to starve all the way to my grave...one by one....LOL. Whatever....will have to try that next week or fortnight.

Oh my goodness, they discovered nothing at all with the biopsies. It's enough to ask if you used new skin products. I hope the new doctor will be better.

@LadyDuck I got an appointment, but it is in July. And this was with the dermatologist calling to get the new available appointment. I'm going to call them Monday to get on the wait list for cancelled appointments.

I need someone to delve into the auto immune stuff. I truly believe that is the key and the answer here. I'm so worn down and I've been taking naps just about every day.

@kareng - You absolutely need someone who can find out the problem with the auto immune system. Try to rest, the stress does not help for sure.

Actually, I had an appointment for Monday to get my stitches out, but with the new consult it had to be moved to Tuesday. Thank goodness it wasn't longer!

@kareng Happy that it was not too late. Such late appointments can prolong and delay things. A right diagnosis and treatment in time would be so much appreciated.

@arunima25 I don't think anything will be resolved there. I'm pretty sure this is all auto immune related to the Sjogrens Syndrome that I have.

Yes, but not expecting any revelations. I'm pretty certain this all goes back to auto immune system out of whack with the Sjogrens Syndrome that I have. It has been dormant for several years now, so stepping up now

I was hoping those would show something. Go through everything you use even dryer sheets. Mom bought a different type one time and broke out. I just thought about that or would have mentioned it earlier. We didn't think of those right away because she had used dryer sheets forever

@kareng But a small change in detergent could do it. Or soap if you changed even the scent

@LindaOHio They won't treat an auto-immune illness. Just the rash that causes it.
