And now I get a text

The text says the doctor has sent my new med orders in again. I will call the pharmacy before I drive thirty miles to check.
With the doctor appointments stacking up and the distance to drive, etc. I am thinking that I will not be able to practice swimming much at all. I may let it rest for another time.
If I decide that about swimming then I will just get busy on my cupboards, moving them, cleaning them. Probably cook some as well.
It is two hours until I can call the pharmacy about the new medication, I guess I should go eat my oatmeal.

I called and the automated message says they are working on it. I will not even try to pick it up until I know it is ready this time.

I have a lot of appointments and labs to catch up on. It will be the end of July until I'm done. I really need to get my hair cut. Don't know when I can fit that in. I hope you got your meds OK.

They messed it up three times (the doctor, not the pharmacy). I am changing cardiologists and going a different direction on meds as well.

@LindaOHio I had a nice long talk with my primary care on Monday. She always asks what I want to do, and we talk about whether the meds are right for me or not. I am blessed to have this kind of doctor.

I checked and "we are still working on it" is what the bot voice told me.

No, they are still working on it. I will check on Sunday. I have an appointment with my primary on Monday. If I have it, I will ask to be trained on injecting it, though I probably do not need trained. I like the idea of doing it at my appointment so if I have a reaction I will be right there.

@GardenGerty That's what I did, too. For the first years I used injectables, I received them at my doctor's office, just in case I had a bad reaction to them. (I hated having to drive 60 miles into Springfield to get a shot once a month and then sitting there for two hours to make sure nothing happened afterward. I was bored and so was Pretty.)
Pretty was trained how to give the shots to me and does it at home now.

@GardenGerty I was going to the hospital in Monett to get shots once a month but then the doctor said I could get the shots at home and trained Pretty how to give them to me. Medicaid didn't agree and quit paying for the shots. I'm doing just fine without them. My doctor switched me to Atorvastatin.

I am changing doctors, had some other things come up and it was just not working out to swim. This was a new med I have never taken, and it seems cardiologists and their staffs do poorly phoning new meds in.

I wouldn't want to go either, if there was a chance it isn't there. I hope you have a good day, despite not knowing yet where and when you will get your medicine.

@MarieCoyle I am not convinced that this is a right choice for me anyway.

@GardenGerty
I truly hate driving around for miles and miles to get medicine, but sometimes it seems there isn't any other way to get it done.

You're smart to call and make sure the prescription is there before making that long trip.
I should work on my cupboards too but always find something else to do

I am enjoying getting stuff done around the house and outside.
