And now I get a text

The text says the doctor has sent my new med orders in again. I will call the pharmacy before I drive thirty miles to check. With the doctor appointments stacking up and the distance to drive, etc. I am thinking that I will not be able to practice swimming much at all. I may let it rest for another time. If I decide that about swimming then I will just get busy on my cupboards, moving them, cleaning them. Probably cook some as well. It is two hours until I can call the pharmacy about the new medication, I guess I should go eat my oatmeal.

I called and the automated message says they are working on it. I will not even try to pick it up until I know it is ready this time.

@GardenGerty yes, if it's quite a journey make it sure that it is available

I wouldn't want to go either, if there was a chance it isn't there. I hope you have a good day, despite not knowing yet where and when you will get your medicine.

I will check again on Sunday, after church because we attend in that town.

@GardenGerty I truly hate driving around for miles and miles to get medicine, but sometimes it seems there isn't any other way to get it done.

I checked and "we are still working on it" is what the bot voice told me.

No, they are still working on it. I will check on Sunday. I have an appointment with my primary on Monday. If I have it, I will ask to be trained on injecting it, though I probably do not need trained. I like the idea of doing it at my appointment so if I have a reaction I will be right there.

@GardenGerty That's what I did, too. For the first years I used injectables, I received them at my doctor's office, just in case I had a bad reaction to them. (I hated having to drive 60 miles into Springfield to get a shot once a month and then sitting there for two hours to make sure nothing happened afterward. I was bored and so was Pretty.) Pretty was trained how to give the shots to me and does it at home now.

You're smart to call and make sure the prescription is there before making that long trip. I should work on my cupboards too but always find something else to do

I read below that they weren't in. Our system is a bit different here but it's still easy to run out of one medication or another. It's a shame you may not be able to continue swimming.

I have a lot of appointments and labs to catch up on. It will be the end of July until I'm done. I really need to get my hair cut. Don't know when I can fit that in. I hope you got your meds OK.
