Of Vince’s siblings, we are closest to his younger brother. The fact that he lives quite close by probably has something to do with it. He has three daughters, and we see quite a bit of two of them. The youngest lives in England.
When we catch up with the eldest, and the one we see most of, Vince always calls her ‘his favourite niece’. He also says that about the middle daughter and if we’re at a family gathering and they are both there, they enjoy teasing him about who is really his favourite. At that point, he often opts for the one who isn’t there.
The photo shows two of the girls quite some years ago. The turkey belonged to the neighbour but took a particular liking to Vince and stayed close by all day. The one on the right that looks a bit girly is our son who now lives in Ireland.

It sounds like Vince teases like my dad used to... He always picked the person who wasn't there as his "favorite" when talking with anybody.
That looks like a typical family gathering when I was growing up... We were always playing some game and there were always animals trying to play with us.
(Usually ponies and calves, but you get the picture, I'm sure.

@JudyEv My brothers would include my youngest brother and I if mom made them but they made it clear we were in the way. The animals didn't mind and we always had fun.

It was really strange. She'd come a few hundred metres to get to us.

I used to tell my first nephew that he was my favorite... he soon caught on that he had to be because he was my only nephew (at the time).
Your son there looks as if he's playing by "eXtreme croquet" rules...

Looks like it could be any American backyard in the summer.

I know some of your street scenes look very 'Australian' too.

I think she did. She stayed for lunch! Sat in the shade by Vince with her own bowl of water.
It was a really hot day.

@allknowing That's sad. Do/did you have any sisters?

@Ineeddentures My favourite part is the joint above the drumstick - the thigh I guess.

Not really a fan of Turkey but I would eat it if it was served up to me.
Especially one of its big legs all nicely roasted
