It is Sunday morning. I am listening to "A Joyful Noise," KDFC's early Sunday morning sacred music program. Kitty is spread out at my feet, enjoying the music with me. Her tail is extended, in a vulnerable position. When I meowed at her, she moved said tail about 1/4 inch, to let me know she heard me. I find it fascinating that my cat likes music. Sometimes she settles in by my bedroom stereo, and then relaxes when I turn it on. My horse did not care about music. Music is very mathematical. As you know, I am also interested in the fact that my Autistic piano students "get" music a a very intuitive level. What are your favorite kinds of music?

Bring on the Celtic and Folk for music for me. And some cello. I had fun with my Fred cat last night. I've started to do some basic sketching- totally new ball game for me. Fred cat lay against me and watched me draw. I found it fascinating, watching his ears and head turn as I drew lines on the paper.

Happy that kitty enjoys music. It's always good to have some company for things that we love.
. I have worked with autistic children and young adults. I am surprised at their musical talent, how intuitive they are. Many learn it on their own.

@TheHorse Yes, totally. I have met so many of them in 17 years and each one is unique. Music intelligence is something I found in each of them( whom I have met so far). They are intuitive in their learning, be it Music or academic or any other areas.

How's my talented, musically gifted fellow mylotter? It's nice to hear you again. I have a domesticated cat which I call him Mameng. I don't if he likes listening to music. When my youngest daughter is playing her fave music in TV. Mameng is sleep8ng on an empty chair.

My uncle was an organist at several churches and he used to play at his house. He owned three cats (which are mine) and they loved to listen to him play.

Cats do seem to like music, well our two seemed to like Bob Dylan.
My favourite kind of music is believe it or not the Dance Music from the early part of the century we would dance to in night clubs
