Goodbye Scar / myLot

June 1st 2025 R.I.P. Olney's only veterinarian's office closed several months ago. By the time I realized something was seriously wrong it was Friday night. Saturday morning he yelled to go out - and then disappeared all day and when he finally reappeared he SCREAMED when I picked him up to bring him in. He died early Sunday morning. A few hours later this young buck growing its very first set of antlers appeared out front feeding for about 15 minutes. One has nothing to do with the other, but I felt a small sense of consolation from somewhere...

Scar was OUR Scar. He was brilliant, He was so full of life. He was te most wonderful cat I have ever heard of.

I introduced Scar to my son when he got sick, and he liked to hear about Scar and see your posts. We all enjoyed his antics and personality so much. I remember when you brought him home...a tiny scrap of a skinny little kitten that was a ball of fire and full of fun. You gave him a great life, I am sorry his life was not longer. When we love a pet, it is very hard to lose them, they are our family.

Oh JJ, I am so very sorry. To see HRH suffering and then to go on without him, that is making me cry.

And in June no less, that is already a difficult month for you emotionally.

I am sending positive and healing vibes out into the universe for you. Sorry for your loss Buddy, so sorry. RIP Scar, you'll be missed.

I am so sorry. Thank you for explaining. I would only guess that it was maybe kidney problems, stones, as that often happens to neutered males, and can manifest suddenly. I am glad you have shared him with us all of these years. RIP

OMG so sorry to hear this, Well, Scar is doing well chasing butterflies in the meadows of heaven and I will shed some tears for him remembering my own kitties, Are the others Emoci and Pete missing him?
