"Are you going to a show?"

Let's just be candid here, sometimes when the heat and humidity kicks in during the summer, our clothes become rather clingy, and our underwear is no exception. Thus, you often have to make certain adjustments from time to time. We were out and about somewhere and when I got out of the truck, I made one such adjustment as my underwear required, and from the other side, observing my activities, my wife asked me, "Are you going to a show?" It seemed to be a question that was completely out of place. We don't even go to shows. What the heck did she mean by that? When I looked at her and said, "What?" she smiled and said, "You were picking your seat." I swear, in my 52 years on this planet, I have never heard that reference made before. But it did give me a good laugh. Have you ever heard this said before?

I have not heard this before, but sure it does sound funny. I see an interesting picture here. What's that about?

It caught my by surprise, that's for sure. lol As for the picture, it's an older picture of my two nephews, Caleb (the one crying) and CJ (in the box). CJ, for whatever reason, decided to cut a hole in the box to put his cell phone on so he could get inside the box and watch videos, and Caleb was crying because he wanted a turn and big brother wouldn't give him one. Kids. The crazy things they come up with. lol

@porwest Kids are fascinating and it's intriguing how they think and behave. It is fun to be around them. But yes, the sibling fights can take on to your nerves

That's funny! Much funnier than "Don't pick your nose: God/your parents already picked it for you."

It definitely caught me by surprise. lol. We're always chiding each other one way or the other. Like yesterday when I backed the truck into the driveway to make it easier to get our stuff inside we bought. I have a rather long hitch on the back for the sway bar system for the camper. I can see where it is thanks to my backup camera. Her car is parked in the driveway. She said, "Now remember, you stick out far in the back." I turned to her and said, "So do you." lol All I can say is that...I got that look.

Yeah. I should ask her if she made it up on the spot or heard it said somewhere else. Now I am curious even considering in the 20 years I have been with her, she's never said it to me or anyone else.

Never heard of anything like that before, I got curious and found this online which makes it an even stranger term The term "going to the show" has become synonymous with men looking for opportunities to harass or assault women, using the darkened theater as cover for their actions. This behavior is not only unacceptable but also illegal, and anyone caught engaging in such activities should be reported to the authorities immediately.
