I Am Not Old YET

Hubby proved that to me this afternoon. You know the saying that people laugh when you fall when you are young and ask if you are okay when you get old. Hubby laughed and cheered when I fell on my butt this afternoon.
. I knew I was going to as I was pulling a stubborn board loose. I went BOOM when I won the fight
. The front yard decorative fence is now history.
. Another thing off my to-do list.
Now I am trying to think of things to make with the wood from that. Any ideas are welcome. I am thinking something decorative that I can sell at the auction.
That's all I did today. But it was enough. Now it's time to check the trail cameras and water the plants. Hope you had a good day.

After that hike to Creation Falls yesterday there was a serious argument in the hotel room. My body was going, “Girl, you’re 65 now, STOP THAT.” My mind was going, “Oh, shush.”
If you’re okay from the fall, then we’ll all laugh with you!

I have had those arguments with myself. I am fine. I knew it was going to happen.

I tell myself not to stand on chairs, or take chances, etc. but oh, it's tempting! The kids took away my stepladder, they said I had no business on a ladder. They were correct, I don't. They allowed me to keep the folding step ladder--I call it a kitchen ladder--so that I can reach a bit further...I only use the first step. If something requires someone taller or to stand on the top step of the folding ladder, I get someone to help me. I don't want to fall, either!

@MarieCoyle I never did like step ladders. We finally got one that I don't mind.

Oh, nice! Whatever you make, I'm sure you'll get more than the money you spent on the lumber in the first place.

I can guess what all he calls me at times
I had thought about that. There is enough.

Hubby sounds like he was full of beans today! His turn will come...we all fall at some point!
Hmm...flower boxes, signs with sayings on them, birdhouses? Rustic, farmhouse type of shelves? I'm sure you'll think of something creative!

He walked outside at just the right time. At least he didn't have his phone.
I have thought about bird houses. I want something fast and easy.

I am sure you will think of something. I like the way you repurpose things, and give them a second life!

Of course you are not old.
Old is a state of mind and not a number.
I am not old either.
And you won the fight

It's always funny when it happens to someone else, but it would be cruel to laugh at an old person.

My day wasn't anything to write home about, but it's enough.

Those weeds are strong, and when you arrive to pull them out you lose your balance.

I hope you can think of something nice to make with the wood. Good idea to use the wood for another purpose and hopefully you will be able to sell it too.

What about using the boards with hooks on them for hanging coats, etc. Hope you have a good day too. Did you hurt yourself?
