Up Early and Grumpy

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's a hazy, sunny day here today and its going to be 90 degrees F. I woke up to the sound of lawn mowers BEFORE 8am. Good grief!! I thought we had a rule that no mowing before 8am and that's early enough for me. I don't know what's going on with them but it seems as if they've been here every day (or every other day). Either the grass is growing exceptionally fast overnight or they're mowing without blades on their machines. I've checked our FB page for our community but no one has said anything which is unusual. Normally people are quick to complain about the least little thing. Of course I don't want to be the one to complain Aside from the early wake-up this morning there isn't much going on. I sold a baby blanket so I have to pack that up and get it in the mail. So far a few interests in the yarn I listed but no actual sales yet. I finally got around to charging my old tablet and found that I have so many books I never read. I'm less than 50 pages to finish my current book so I'm going to have to pick from my newly found books for my next read. Between my old table and my current one I feel like I hit paydirt with all the books I have to choose from now. This afternoon Walmart is delivering our groceries. We only picked up a few things from out local supermarket last week so Walmart got a pretty big order. I love the convenience of delivery and it's worth every penny for someone to bring it. I try to give them a little extra for their time and trouble. That's what's happening here. What's going on with you today? Anything fun and/or exciting?

We had a on and off again rainy day today. It turned out being more dry then wet, but cloudy. On a bright side I finished work a bit earlier and went shopping at the lady's lingerie shop-and I even found a SALE! That is almost unheard of when it comes to buying those things.

@Marilynda1225 I know, so unheard of. But our bodies change as we age, and we have to go with the flow, and that was my goal. Besides it is dress season, and I have a new sundress that I needed something strapless to wear under.

We had rain during the night and a thick fog this morning so no mowers going yet, which surprises me. Normally somebody is mowing even in the rain. (The older neighbor mows rain or shine, and we have seen him mowing during a snowstorm once. Pretty thinks he's just bored.) I got an unexpected wake-up call this morning that has me excited... The workmen from last fall will finally come and finish the work they started then, weatherizing our rental house and lowering our bills again. We went shopping yesterday morning but only bought a small amount of things we needed. We'll need to go shopping again in the next few days and get more stuff. (We did pick up the rest of the meds from the pharmacy. ) And that's everything I can think of... I hope you have a good day.

@Marilynda1225 I was really happy to get that call today! Thanks. We still need to go back out and get some more groceries. We came home early because it started storming when we were shopping the other day. It's definitely different. We didn't even notice when other people mowed at our last house but the neighbor starts up his riding mower by my bedroom window which wakes me up and I can't go back to sleep until he stops.

Getting the house winterized certainly is a good phone call to get and saving money on bills is a bigger plus. Glad you were able to get out and get your meds plus a few other necessary things. My older daughter has a neighbor that is always mowing his lawn. It looks beautiful but I wouldn't want to have to listen to that noise all the time.

I can only imagine how frustrating that is. I really wish you didn’t have to deal with it at all. I’m going to the post office today, and then to my dad’s. They are in Iowa, and a few things were mailed to me yesterday I want to get. I don’t want to annoy my dad with things of mine sitting around!

I shouldn't complain about the noise and mowing especially since I don't have to do it. Hope you got your stuff from your dads

I need to place a Walmart delivery order too. I mowed earlier and sprayed some vines.

Nothing exciting. Just read the weather forecast that a typhoon is developing in South China Sea. Not sure if it will affect Hong Kong.

Hope that typhoon doesn't hit your area. They're already forecasting some major hurricanes for this upcoming hurricane season

I kept waiting for it to rain today, but it did not. I did a little bit with plants off and on. Cooking meals of course. I am feeling antsy because of the weather. We do not live close enough for anyone to deliver anything. I am lucky to get my Amazon orders. Here the grass really is growing that fast, but it is too wet to mow at 8 in the morning.

I woke to the same thing. I thought we had a rule too. We have our groceries delivered from Albertson's since Walmart was making too many mistakes. We had them delivered since the COVID out break.

Today is 'Ladies Movie Day' at the clubhouse. I don't always go but I'll go today. Before that, I have washing to hang out.
