Do you ever feel like Americans are being sucked into a Big Not-So-Beautiful Reality Show?

Think this through with me. Let me know your mind. I was dead right and a certain MyLotter was dead wrong. Trump and Musk are now feuding over social media, with one calling up Epstein's name, and the other saying he could deport the other. It's all silly, and has no real bearing on what is best for middle-class Americans, but it is providing entertainment for those who want entertainment in the political arena. To me, it feels like a bad reality show, like Housewives of Wherever. Has the US really sunk to this level? I really don't know. Is there an Illuminati, composed of entertainers like Trump, Musk, FOX "News," Liberal Commentators, snd media producers? I doubt it, but it feels that way. Here's another link to watch. I am sitting here scratching my head. Yes, I am paying more for rent, groceries, etc., but I can absorb it. Many Americans cannot. Has your life changed in any way since this sh*t show became "a thing"? Do you ever feel like we are living in a Reality Bad Reality Show?

Sometimes, yes I do. But, then again, when you have two powerful people in a room, both thinking they're always right, this is bound to happen. I'm not entirely surprised. I didn't think it'd take this long, honestly. Especially with money involved.

Kayla your observation about two powerful people in a room is very wise.

In a certain way, if you have nothing to do, you can entertain yourself with this disgusting political (?) games. But life is not a game and some people arenot having fun with it. I am playing my part, deciding not to buy anything made in the US while the tariffs are part of this monopoly game. Still, just like you, I am not having much of a problem with the grocery prices. I can absorb them. But some people are having trouble

just like you it is label reading time so that I avoid US products. We haven't been really effected by the tariffs cause we don't buy much from Trumpland

First off, Meidas Touch is a great newscaster. I like them a lot. Unhenged is where it's at in Trumpdom nowadays. I doubt even the sleeziest reality show producer would take these two on. I worry that my life may change, but I haven't seen it yet. Thank the Gods. I will be so glad when the guys in the white coats come and take Trump away. What really grieves me is that they won't do anything about him because of his position of power. They go around with their rose colored glasses and tip-toe around like he could have them drawn and quartered if they actually did what was right. The sad thing is that this sh*t show is real. It's happening.

Yes, I think a TV show could be made about the shenanigans. My life has not changed. I got most of the household projects done before prices could go up again.

America used to stand for something, its leader were supposed to be of the highest quality, and the Constitution was sacrosanct. Now, it's a crap show, not even funny, more nauseating.

I think more of soap operas, but it is the same idea. Lots of twists and turns and drama and scandal. Yes, at this time we can absorb the increases, but I wonder about our overall survival as a nation.

Is it that bad? Whatever happened to the country of democracy and freedom? I've looked up to America because I believe in what it stands for. Hopefully, the leaders of your country will sort things out sans their super-inflated egos.

I have never liked reality TV shows. I also have not paid for live TV in about thirty years. This entire era of American politics is beyond a black eye to our beloved country. Are Americans that bored that this is happening?

per@TheHorse A dear friend of mine is a Trumper. We share our feelings so I told her that I was quite disturbed and sad due to the news lately. She said what news? She doesn't follow news any longer. I told her that food banks and such were being shut down and kids were going to go hungry. She answered that the states would just have to take care of the issue. She doesn't want to understand symbiotic action though she is not uneducated- the states used to get funds from the Fed. The states can't do it all by themselves plus the farmers were paid by the Feds to help out. And on we go.

What I am going to say might be termed as a long shot or may be a shot in the dark. Multi Party ( 2) democracies and those with a Prime Minister as the dominant head of the state (with President or Monarch as a symbolic head) might be more chaotic or messy but the way US has been heading and the current state, I believe that US should adopt a Non-Presidential system or may be a diluted version. Plus one more issue plaguing US is the high power that senators and other elected representatives have and that acts as a detriment to the general population. Yet this is something even we in India have no answer to. I also think that with Media becoming more 24*7, including Internet, things seem to be going in circles of Reality Shows like display ! And well, the mess won't go away soon !

At the end of the day, we all are mere spectators. I never knew the POTUS had so much powers to act independently. The whole world is watching the reality show but it is too close for comfort. It is not one where 99% the world over will suffer. China is looking more stable now!

I would love to live in America just to be there as it plays out
