That Was Fun!

Yes, it was short: only three days and two nights. But wow was it fun!! I know my next trip probably won't be as "pretty" (I'm hoping to go to the Sultana museum and some other places), but it'll hopefully still be exciting.
I had never been to the Red River Gorge before, just past the signs. I'm so glad I have that scratched off the list of places I haven't been to now. Wow, was it beautiful. I'll bet it's even better in the autumn, but that's okay. As Ray Stevens once sang, everything is beautiful. The summer beauty is as amazing as the fall colors.
So, until I take off again (which may be in the morning), I'll leave you with THIS sign. Only in Kentucky, huh? Apparently (I can't find any verification of this), the trail gets rather narrow in places; hence, the name.
Thanks for coming along!

Truthfully? Me too.
I'm assuming it's pinching your body (or any part, G-rated or not) in the narrow areas. In Rock City they have a place called "Fat Man's Squeeze," and I guess it's the same principle. Just worded much more weirdly.

I've been to Red River Gorge within the last few years. I'm not recalling seeing that sign, but that doesn't mean that I didn't. We took the lift up and walked back down. We enjoyed it there.

@terri0824 — I took the chairlift one time I was there (Natural Bridge State Park). I have acrophobia, so they had to pry me out of the seat at the top.

Lots of licks in eastern Kentucky (Flat Lick, Paint Lick, etc.). I like Cuba, Missouri…I can always say my car was hijacked to Cuba!

@FourWalls We have Gobbler and Turkey Holler in Missouri... Neither one of those have an interesting story, according to the locals. Peculiar and Knob Lick didn't have good stories, either.
Why use odd names if there's not a good story to go with them?

I love reading about your little trips. So evidently, this trail has a ''Fat Man's Squeeze'' somewhere!

They never offer us a “thin man’s squeeze.”
PS: took your advice, details tonight.

Never thought of that, but you are right. I’ve never seen a Skinny Man’s Squeeze!

It’s probably due to the narrow trail along the way. I didn’t take the trail to find out!

That’s true. I prefer going out during the week because it’s not as crowded as on weekends.

I know! I wonder how many people have hiked it just for the sign.
