Who remembers Good and Plenty?

When I was buying some supplies yesterday for the trip I happened upon Good and Plenty. They are little pieces of licorice encased in a candy shell that have been around forever. They seemed to be very popular in the early 60's. I remember having them as a little kid. Since most people don't like black licorice I doubt they are too popular now other than as a nostalgia item, but they must have their fans.

I don't like licorice at all, whatever the colour but I know many people love it.

Interestingly enough, a good bit of our licorice comes from Australia.

@DaddyEvil I've had that Wallaby black licorice. It is really strong. I really only like black licorice.

The name was not familiar, but I looked online and we had similar little candies, I am not sure about the name but I think "Amarelli bianconeri" Amarelli the brand bianco neri means white and black.

@snowy22315 - Those I remember were only white. I have to check if they still exist.

Dad LOVED those nasty things! None of us kids would eat them.

I like them, although I wouldn't call them a favorite.

I liked them. I bought some. Not my fave candy, but good for a change, and less calories than chocolate.

I always liked Good & Plenty and associate them with going to the movies. Haven't had them in ages though.

I don't recall ever eating them at the movies. If I ate candy at the movies it was usually Junior Mints or Milk Duds. Do you remember the Seinfeld episode about Junior Mints?

I have to admit that this Good and Plenty is not a thing I had ever ever heard of before I stumbled upon your post. I never thought that you were old enough to remember the 1960,s

I love Good and Plenty!! They were a favorite of mine. I see them at the store but I walk by them as fast as possible, so I don’t buy them. Please eat one for me!!
