Does This Make Me A Coffee Snob?

Happy Friday Everyone! it's a beautiful start to this Friday morning but sadly rain and thunderstorms for later today and throughout the weekend. The rain won't be constant but if I were a betting woman I'd say it will be enough to ruin whatever outside plans you might have especially since Sunday is Fathers Day. I hate to admit it but I have a tendency to let the lazy side of me win out. As many of you know, I can't start my day without my coffee. I'm a firm believer that the best part of waking up is Folgers in my cup. I buy big cans at Sams Club and always have an extra one in the garage. I also have a small "emergency" can of Maxwell House in my pantry. The other morning I realized that I didn't have an open can of coffee and the lazy side of me just didn't feel like going into the garage to get the Folgers. So, I took the "emergency" Maxwell House and used that. Boy, what a difference in the taste. I drink my coffee black (no milk or sugar) The Maxwell House is okay and I really don't want to open a big can of Folgers so I've been using the Maxwell House for the past few mornings and although it's perfectly fine it's just not my morning wake up cup of coffee. Thankfully it's a small can and will be gone in another day or two. I'll definitely have to replace that "emergency" can with Folgers. If I sound like I'm rambling, blame it on the coffee. I still feel like I have brain fog this morning.

I hope that the brain fog has lifted by now.

It mostly has. Maybe it has nothing to do with the coffee

When my husband was still alive he used to make me a cup of Folger's Instant Decaf Coffee in the afternoon along with a muffin or something sweet. I really miss that. The Folger's was really good.

We only like instant coffee and that's all we have in the house. Our friends are coffee 'snobs, but lovely people. When they come to our house, they opt to have tea! Perhaps I've told you that before.

Maybe not a snob, but certainly a notch above me when it comes to coffee. I LOVE coffee, and like you, have to have it. But I can drink pretty much anything. Most of the time I just get the Great Value big can. But I also have bought Beaumont at Aldi, I've liked Chase & Sanborn, Martinson and others. All of them are "cheap," and I can't really tell the difference between them.

I love my coffee. Dark roast is my first choice, i will drink Maxwell House but I have to agree with you that it’s just not very good. I think the Folgers Black Silk is excellent and it would be my first choice as well. Coffee is important!!

You can’t beat Folgers. My grandparents said so, and I believed my grandparents!

The good thing is now you know for sure that Maxwell isn't your preferred taste . . . in a couple days it'll be all gone and you won't have to deal with Maxwell anymore . You can feel good that it didn't go to waste . Maxwell fog .

It is OK to want to have coffee often But you can always decide to reduce the number of times you want to have it. It is all in your hands.

I always keep 1 or 2 extra cans here also. It was a good idea for you to switch up your brand, they can taste differently. I prefer Maxwell House, but picked up a can of Nabob recently, but won't have to open it for a while as the current can is still 80% full and there is another can of MH before I will try the Nabob. We used to drink it and we both liked it. Folgers is not longer carried at the big grocery chains here.

No judgement here... I don't like any coffee. Pretty bought a bag of some specialty coffee a few years ago (I think it's Dunkin Donuts brand.) but has only used a little of it. It probably needs to be thrown away but it's not bothering me up there so I've left it alone...

Glad it's just a small one.
