I am up in my parent"s area now. My dad is much better Thank God for that. He seems stable now. He seems about the same since the last time I saw him, but I would say my mother has aged quite a bit I wish I could get them to do the right things in regard to their health but they want to do what they want to do. At least my mom has lost maybe 40 Ibs and she needs to, so that is good

So glad to hear that your Dad is much better now.
Can I ask if your mom has been trying to lose weight?
How long had it been since you had seen her?

July 4 they didn't come to Thanksgiving. At one point she was yes...and it hasn't changed since then.

That's.good as she was tying to lose weight
I would have been a bit concerned if she lost all that and was not trying to do so.

I am glad to hear that he seems much better. It's good that Mom lost weight if she needed to...yes, no matter what you say or do, they will no doubt do what they want to do. It can be frustrating and cause worry, but unless they are unable to make their own decisions, no one can do it for them. I hope they both find the path to feeling a lot better in the future. Glad that you got to go and see them.

Thanks, glad I was able to get up here, without having to go with friend. I will probably be back in August.

Except I get made at my sister for buying them all kinds of unhealthy junk. She really should know better She says if she didn't they it would buy it for themselves the next day! Maybe, but maybe not! However, they've lived this long so obviously, they have done most things right

@snowy22315 I agree it would be better if she didn't buy them junk but I also agree that there isn't much you can do about it.

Good to hear about your Dad's health?
I have not been following so did he had some serious ailment recently?
Sometimes parents might want to do good for their health but certain factors come in between to prevent that.
Hopefully, both of them are in the right condition now?
Have a nice day !

Older people do get set in their ways. My husband can have me ripping my hair out.

Glad your dad is better. At oldage we need to watch our weight. I therefore do yoga everyday and control my diet.
