I keep reading news about Covid-19 reappearing. Even a celebrity was on a ventillator . Some say it is just a virus like any other but I think it is not so More people die of this disease more than a plain flu.Wonder there will be revaccination too And then there are variations that could be more dangerous. Do you think we should go back to the pandemic protocol?

I will have to politely tell those who visit us that they should come with their masks on.

@allknowing I will not accept anyone with "a cold" at my house. I caught the covid at my aunt´s house. She did not tell me that she had covid until we were at lunch. Fortunatly I had all my vaccines so it was something tolerable.

They’ve never stopped vaccinating here. Some quit getting boosted, but I know a heck of a lot of people who have never stopped getting their boosters. And, as long as Trump is in office, I don’t think the United States will be under a mask mandate. Considering so many masks were found to be useless, that doesn’t surprise me.

I have not vaccinated myself and nor do I plan to. I do not socialise and there are not many visitors either. But I will wear a mask and expect visitors to do it too.

It has been in circulation for some time because rumors of the report were circulating in Los Angeles when I was coming home from my international trip. When I arrived home, I was coughing and had a cold. I assume it was not COVID because I was fortunate enough to recover without experiencing flu-like symptoms. My government hasn't announced that mask use will start up again yet.

@allknowing, The alerts appear to be slow, particularly on the media. It appears that our health department has slowed down from its previous frequency of reporting. We do occasionally hear cases. However, it is not spreading as quickly as it once was. Perhaps the vaccine is still effective and can't cause as much damage as it once could.

I have always taken my booster shots every 6 months, and I carry a mask or 2 in my purse as well as a couple in the console of the car. You just never know.........

No. None of the "protocols" worked as the CDC finally reported. None of it. The shutdowns, the vaccinations, the masking, the social distancing...none of it worked. We won't be fooled again here in the United States.

@allknowing Because the numbers and stats CLEARLY showed none of the protocols worked. There was only so long they could lie to us about it before it was so obvious, they had to tell the truth.

@allknowing They won't , not in the UK anyway. They will minimize the situation. Tell everyone to get vaccinated as it needs to be upgraded. We cannot afford another pandemic. So we won't have one, even though COVID kills a lot of people again

Sure, lets' go back to the masks and staying two meters away from others. It will lessen the chance of pickpockets on the bus. People will be more polite and not go to work sick to infect others with their coughs. I didn't mind to stay home and teach more online. Not so much transportation costs.

@allknowing Everyone can decide for themselves whether to wear one or not. Don't depend on the government to tell people how to stay healthy. . . .
