Going to make some salted caramel ice cream

I was flipping through 2 of my ice cream books yesterday but nothing really jumped out at me. Plum ice cream sounds intriguing but I need to wait until I order groceries again to get plums. I eventually settled on salted caramel ice cream as I already have all of the ingredients on hand. The recipe calls for 6-9 egg yolks (perfect!) so that will help to use up some of the stupid surplus of eggs I have. I have already separated the eggs and put the egg whites in the freezer for future use. (I'm thinking marshmallow sauce) The measuring cups are currently being run through the dishwasher so I'm waiting on them to be done to get going on the custard. It will have to be chilled overnight so I won't be looking at ice cream until at least tomorrow. That is fine with me.
