I love to have the windows open aside from Smokey McSmokerson always hotboxing me.
It is supposed to be over 90F today and that is the first really hot day that we will have had. My inhaler is low so I closed up the windows and turned on the air conditioning. It will be hot for several days. Unfortunately the pool here isn't open yet so I will have to crash somewhere else. I have 3 options but the last one would be my sister's since my Monster lives there.
Princess Claire Wigglebutt Floofypants will be happy for it to be cool here. She looked half-dead yesterday.

I wish we had AC in the UK. The next two days are going to reach the sweltering heights of 86F where I am, even hotter in places like London. That’s way too hot for me. Roll on next week when the temperature is predicted to drop below 70F with a good chance of rain.

I didn't want to turn mine on either, and waited for weeks. It's not on as high as it was, and we haven't had it on all the time, as we have fluctuated between hot/cold, etc. But it's very humid, and we had two weeks of that thick wildfire smoke, it was hard to breathe in that withouth the AC. I have changed the filter on the central AC twice this month, because of the smoky air having ''particles'' in it, as they said.

We never open our windows although all of them can open now. (Most of them were painted closed when we moved in. The guy that did the inspections for Section 8 said the landlady had to fix them so they'd open and close easily and replace the locks on them.
)
We've been using the AC since April. It gets hot in here when the setting sun hits the West side of our house.
I hope you're comfortable now.
