Smiling on a Friday

I am really smiling on this particular Friday.
Even more than my usual.
I took the day off as my husband was booked to do a training session in Windsor, but it was cancelled a couple of days ago as there were not enough participants. companies have to cut back where they are able to. And spending the day with myself and the twins and our son was alot more fun.
The girls had a doctor appointment this afternoon. Grandpa and Daddy took them to it. They were getting their MMR vaccine. My daughter-in-law inquired if they could get it a bit earlier because they are out and about with other children 5 days of the week, and you do not know who is and isn't vaccinated these days. They were delayed a bit, but finally they did get their shots.
They did quite well. Willow actually watched the nurse give her the shot, and then she proclaimed that she wanted to be a doctor when she grows up. I'm not sure if she thinks that the doctor just designates the nurse to do certain jobs, or what inspired her to say that.
It made me smile a little more on this fabulous Friday-how has your day been?

@wolfgirl569 The vaccinations are so important. Nobody wants to think that a simple trip to the doctor's office for a shot could help a child so much, and really their entire community, as many of these illnesses are very contagious.

@Juliaacv That's another reason I am glad that Adelines mom got custody. My son didn't keep up with her vaccinations like he should

@DaddyEvil When it hurts, try to keep it above your heart, that should help with the pain as well as the swelling.

@Juliaacv Thank you. It's sore right now but Pretty just unwrapped it and cleaned it for me and re-wrapped it again. It's swollen but looks good.

That is cute, wouldn't it be something if she was? Sounds like she is smart enough to be one. Day here was somewhat aggravating, but not too bad,,everything worked out in the end.

@Juliaacv They have to fix their patient! I always remember my little cousin who ended up being a nurse practitioner..spraying Right guard on her doll, I guess pretending it was Bactine or something and putting a bandage on her.

So nice you were able to spend time with the twins. They're getting so big so fast. Its so cute that Williw wants to be a doctor.

I need to take a picture of them to show everyone, they are getting so big already.
A couple of weeks ago they went to the hair dresser and Willow got a bob cut, which is shorter in the back, and it looks so adorable on her. She never liked anyone brushing or combing her hair, but if we spray it with water, and give her her brush, she will brush it so nicely in the morning. She did that today and then asked if I would take her to the mirror. I laughed at her as she can go to the bathroom and stand on the stool in front of the vanity all by herself and see herself in the mirror, I guess she just wanted an audience.

@Marilynda1225 Grandpa will really experience separation anxiety in September 2026 when they go to school, although he has had the playgroup leader ask if he would come and read stories to the children and I think that he will volunteer at the school for their first year to help him ease away from them.

@Juliaacv she sounds so grown up and adorable. She probably wanted you to approve of her being able to do it on her own. She and Harper are going to gave so many wonderful memories of their younger years with you and your hubby. Some of my hest memories are those that spent with my grandparents

Willow is a brave girl.
I wouldn't have watched the nurse give me the shot when I was that age, or even now to be honest.
Glad you had something to smile about, especially on a day off.
