Yes, my nephew is back at the ER for the same reason. But now he is being admitted and scheduled for an operation to remove the gallbladder. Last week, he was at the ER twice for tummy pain, and in the previous visit, the abdominal ultrasound revealed that a gallstone was at the gallbladder neck. I had a feeling that the stone was the one causing the pain because it was stuck in the duct. He might undergo cholecystectomy but I do not know yet if it will be the open surgery one or the laparoscopic one.
Kindly say a prayer for him. Thank you.

@MarieCoyle yes, I have stones now but I do not have any symptoms. But with the way I see it, I think I have to schedule mine soon as I do not want to experience what he is experiencing

I have never had gallstones or gallbladder issues, but I know people who have. They all say the pain is terrible, I am so sorry for him.

I’m truly hoping for your nephew’s smooth and safe recovery, though I understand this won’t be an easy journey for him or your family. Illness and pain are part of life’s course, and while we can’t always control what happens to the body, we can choose how we face it—with courage, patience, and care.
May he gain strength with each passing day, and may you all find calm and clarity as you support him through this. I’ll be keeping him in my thoughts.
