Ultrasound was Cancelled.

My nephew had been admitted to the hospital last night. I was there almost the whole day. The doctor orders a whole abdomen ultrasound to confirm the first ultrasound that has been done outside the hospital. When we were at the Radiology department, the charge nurse suddenly called the staff there to cancel my nephew's ultrasound because the doctor thought that MRI with contrast will be a more suitable procedure for him. They want to confirm if there were gallstones that went outside the gallbladder.
I wish they can confirm the procedure sooner.

I hope they're giving him lots of pain meds. Gallstones hurt!

@rakski Yeah, if the stone/stones are too large, pain relievers don't help.

An MRI with contrast will tell them a lot more, so they can do their best with the surgery. I hope they are doing some pain management for him.

Your poor nephew I hope they can get a diagnosis soon so they can figure out if he'll need surgery.
