Mowing more

The grass still gets clumpy from all of the moisture. I mowed off and on today until my battery died. Plugged in the battery and went on the lookout at some wild flowers with Bob. He went and bought his favorite pizza last night. We have made two meals from it and have enough for one more. My battery filled up and I finished the little bit that I had not gotten done on the yard. Then took the mower down to lock in the garage. Supper was hot dogs. We have had those for a couple of other meals. I made microwaved sweet potatoes for a side. Today for a fruit we had frozen strawberries. I have done all I can with his paperwork. There are still some glitches, but I addressed them in an e mail with the recruiter. I do not expect to hear from her until Monday, but I have noticed that the "jobvite" website rearranges itself from time to time and resolves its own problems. Church tomorrow and maybe some fun as well. Probably will buy bananas also. Whatever. I will not mow tomorrow. It is fun to hear the robins hanging out and calling. They love to come to the yard and eat the bugs I disturb by mowing. Bruno hides under the cars and watches them. I guess I am ready to get ready for bed. Good night to all.

That reminds me, I want to make some "crescent dogs," or whatever they are called. They always turn out really good. Of course, before I can make them I need to get a can of crescent roll dough.

Hubby used to make crescent dogs once and a while. He also made beanie weenie.

@LindaOHio I am assuming beanie weenie is hot dogs and beans? That's really good eats too.

@porwest Yes. Very yummy. I should have cousin #2 make me some when she comes back in 2 weeks. I also have a frozen pizza and some gnocchi.

@porwest - I had a gas operated mower, but most of our other appliances are battery operated.

I use a lot of battery operated "appliances," like my weed eater and leaf blower. I'd never want a battery operated mower. Of course, 99% of the yard is done with a rider anyway.

@LadyDuck My mom had a battery operated mower for a while. It never would have had enough battery life to cut our lawn.

I think we will order a pizza this next week. We haven't had one in quite some time. When you get all the mowing down won't you have to turn around and start over again? It's like housework.

Speaking of sweet potatoes, we had sweet potato soup for our lunch. Very tasty.
