Picturesque Scotland
Tobermory, Isle of Mull
It is a pretty place right enough but it's a place where you need deep pockets if you visit
Personally I wouldn't go there again
I don't like boats and you go by ferry
So it's a no from me
But it might be a yes from you.
Not a lot to see when you do get off of the boat.
And the next boat back is not for ages
So spend your money

@Ineeddentures I don't want to fly anymore either, plus I'd have to bring my shower chair and my rollator.

@Ineeddentures So how do you get to the Isle of Skye? I presume that is now a tour mecca.

Well don't be relying on ferry boats if you come here .
Sadly they are a bit of a joke here in Scotland.

Oh the tourists like Skye
Well basically get yourself to Inverness
Then go to Kyle of Lochalsh
And then over the bridge to Skye

Red, yellow, blue... In unison looks picturesque. I have seen many such houses with a single color theme. I would envy those people who own those houses at such a romantic location

@Ineeddentures

Post box! That's why I'm not looking at only one house. The look of the entire picture is romantic. If you break it into smaller ones, it won't look very appealing.

I suppose it is quite romantic
The more I look at the red house the less I like it.
Be like living in a post box

@abhi_bangal post boxes in the UK are red.
Imagine someone posting mail through your red house letter box because they thought that the house was indeed a post box

I have the feeling you do not like Nicola Sturgeon.

In Scotland they are a long standing joke.
A very costly service for the rest of Scotland to pay for.
All because of Nicola Sturgeon being a complete Buffon

I never did
Never trusted her
I was correct.
Her and her husband fairly loved the lifestyle of Royalty at the tax payers expense

@Ineeddentures I have memories of some of my kids watching it. I suppose it’s TV fame helps keep the prices high.

That could be true.
When we went we took a picnic in a backpack
Sat down to eat it at the waterfront
Some local yokel told us we couldn't sit and eat food not bought on the island
He got told ...

Aye
Balamory.
They use the houses on the waterfront for that.
I have never watched it lol

@Ineeddentures I just have no plans to travel abroad any time soon. We enjoy our summer camping and close-to-home trips.

Why is it not welcoming?
Also with the difficulty in going there, people might not want to go there as well

Strange people Raquel
People flock there in large numbers
The ferry is hard to get on.
And I have no idea why

It is indeed a nice pretty place Raquel and the island is also very nice.
But it wasn't the most welcoming place in our small but proud nation that I have ever been

Like rows of rabbit hutches
Lego land
Kit houses
Cost a fortune , not even real bricks and mortar
No character
My friend asked what I thought about his house
He wasn't happy with my response

That's a lovely photo.
Wouldn't it be great if new build houses were all different colours
I have noticed all these new builds schemes are a bit bland looking

It's lovely.
But the ferry service is awful
They should build a bridge from the mainland like they did at Skye

One of the things I should like to do when retired is spend some times touring Scotland. I have only ever been to Kilmarnock and that was 50 years ago !
