Today; the good and the bad,

Today Martín came with his GF (also called Camila) to eat out and to vote. As I was inviting and Leticia was ill I told them that the leftovers (we call them doggy bags but dogs don´t get a bit of it) would be for me.
So I have enough to eat tomorrow and on Tuesday. I´m thinking about cooking a bit of rice to serve as a side although I have veggies for salad.
This was the best part of the day. The bad part was that my candidate did not win. The winner was a communist. And although she is very nice and does not like the more leftist side of her party, she IS a communist still. And that means that my country will vote either for the far left or for the far right.
I dread this world that is divided now in far left and far right. Inn a couple of months we´ll have the president elections and I will have to vote for her as the alternative will be a far right fascist who, after 50 years still talks about the wonders of Pinochet, the dictator we had.
So for me my vote will be a lesser bad thing. But still, I think I´ll lose again
I think that I´ll stop reading news (intertational and national).
I can´t do anything so at least I´ll have fun. see you.

I'm sorry the elections didn't go the way you'd hoped.
I am glad you'll have delicious leftovers t eat for a few days, though...
I hope the three of you enjoyed your day, otherwise.

I prefer her instead of the extreme right. He is the worst fascist I´ve seen in decades. But I don´t know what will become of my country. And you can see what is happening elsewhere.

@marguicha - I fear the word "communist" as much as "fascist", we left Italy in 1975 because the Communist Party almost won elections.

Good planning on the meals. I am glad you have people in your life that will come spend time with you. I am sorry about your election. That is how it has been here for quite a while.

The world has not been governed well lately. And I think that we are to blame. We have to fight a bit for our ideals.

Well, we feel bad when our candidate looses. But then it's a part of democracy. No one stays in power for ever in democracy.
I too have reduced my listening to news and watching them for my peace of mind. I just read physical newspaper for a bit to catch up with the happenings around.

We have doggiebags here too.
Your election outcome sounds like ours. Sounds like another wacko.

I blame us. We should fight a bit for our ideals. I DID go to vote in spite of my legs and butt. The policemen had a wheelchair for me and Martín took me to my table. But there are youngsters who prefer to stay home instead of doing what they should.

I'm sorry your candidate did not win. I can't imagine having a communist as a leader.

I prefer a communist (as communists are now) than a fascist. But I would rather have someone from the middle.

We don't vote again for awhile. It's odd to me that you vote in june.
