Downer day all the way around except for one good thing

I did not hear back from my primary care doctor today. Tuesday is her day off, so I do not expect to hear anything until Wednesday.
Being more transparent here, the elevated enzyme indicates something is wrong with my pancreas. Probably pancreatitis, possibly pancreatic cancer, but less likely. I have been doing my research in between tasks on the new hire paperwork for Bob. I really am not having symptoms except a little indigestion, however the enzyme is at 3 times the upper limit.
New hire paperwork, online, is a bummer. It would be much better to send out hard copies and have Bob mail them back. How does a technology challenged person get hired in this day and age. I am really pretty good with these things but their site periodically refuses to do things it should--the recruiter said so. I have done everything but stand on my head and one set of documents just will not work.
With the fact that I am facing a health challenge and under the weather, Bob and I talked and I told the recruiter "no thank you" and please delete Bob's files from their website.
Now for the one good thing, which is going to mean a lot of work. We picked up twenty-five pounds of Georgia peaches for $30, and that includes tax. They are big peaches and I will eat some, and process and dry some.
Don't worry about the health thing unless I tell you too. Home care involves staying hydrated, and eating a low fat diet, and resting. I can do those things. I am not having any of the big symptoms like abdominal pain, fever, bloating, nausea, or vomiting. Also the looking around online indicates that the elevated enzyme that is indicating this problem could have been caused by the two different statins, and possibly the new diabetic med I took. Joy, joy.
Everything is going to be peachy here starting tomorrow.

This is a sign to pay attention to what I eat.

@Nakitakona We say the same thing, in a way:"you are what you eat."

@GardenGerty I remember the saying - what you eat is what you become. Good day.

Oh, I know it, but I did need to explain why I could not participate in that study. I am going to have to pay close attention to what I eat for at least a while.

@GardenGerty
You can do that.
Even if things like fat content have to be reduced, taste doesn't.

@Ineeddentures I need to cut back on butter and cheese especially. Probably sugar, too. At least processed foods, like ice cream. Sorbet will be a better choice for me.

There is a family owned business/farmer that through out the year goes and buys truck loads of produce to sell from his farm. They take orders on facebook and set up pick up. and their kids all help. It is the first time I have gotten peaches from them.

@GardenGerty We had a peach truck that came from GA annually to LSU when I was still working and sold them by the crate. They were SO good!!!

I hope it turns out your tests were false positives... Good luck with that!
OMG! That's a good price for peaches! They are my favorite fruit!

Wish I could e mail you some peaches. I am sure that enzyme is elevated, and I know that my diet does not help. At this point I just am having heart burn now and again. It is making me cautious to try any new medicine. My body just does not like them.

@GardenGerty I appreciate the thought... Thank you.
I'm always cautious about new meds... Half the time they make me sick and the other half they might work or might do nothing at all.
I hope the doc can help you with that soon.

There was a Mylotter recently who had those high numbers for her pancreas, and she was thinking cancer. It turned out not to be. So I’m going to do what you said, and not worry until you tell me to. Okay, that’s not quite true. But I’ll at least TRY not to worry. In the meantime, you know I’m going to pray.

I missed out on that person. Oops, maybe I know who. Right now this is just a wakeup call to eat more sensibly. I do not think it is cancer. I do think it is a blessing I tried to get into that study and got that lab work up because I have not had any symptoms that would have raised any flags for my doctor. Just some heartburn.

It will be great to get the peaches done up. It will be great when the doctor says not to worry, just be a more healthy eater.

Although I will not worry unless you say so, I will keep your health in my prayers.
I can relate to the new hire paperwork.
I had to jump through alot of hoops when I was hired for the bank.
My husband was able to scan and send things for me, I did not catch on at all, it was so frustrating.

We decided if their system glitches this much it would likely be a problem for reporting his work and getting paid. Bob does not do technology well. I thought I did, but this was a mess.

I think it was a blessing that I tried to get in that study. They run different labs than you usually have, so I got a heads up about the enzyme and it is making me do a better job of watching out for things.

You know that we will all worry until you tell us you're OK. Sending a prayer. Great price on the peaches. So many things you could make from them.

I have not heard anything from the clinic yet, and other than some heartburn from too much fat at a meal yesterday I seem to be okay. I just need to eat better.

I wish you the best. That is a worry for sure. I agree about online paper work. I have had some headaches with technology when it comes to signing for a house and such. Yum on those peaches. I am going to pick up 25 pounds of WA grown apricots on Wednesday- I get a better price for buying more.

This is letting me know that I need to be selective about what I eat, and drink. I am doing more resting as well. Yes, we had to buy the whole box full to get that price, but hubby often craves peaches. We do not ever get apricots for that good a price or offer. Other things at different times, like strawberries and then canning tomatoes.
