Don't Trust AI

AI (artificial Intelligence) sent me a message. Super volcano is waking up. AI is not a good article writer so I asked which one. It said it was the one in Iceland. I have no hopes of pronouncing or spelling the name.
I saw that volcano erupting live last year. I told AI that it is not a super volcano and it has been awake for years.
AI said I was right. What if I was writing an article and I used this false information Why did AI lie?
Do you depend on AI for writing? Do you check information with a reliable source? What do you think?

Have you noticed the style of writing AI uses.
Real people do not speak or write like that.
Wonder if people will ever lost using AI on here

@Ineeddentures, Definitely one can make out if it's a human written article. Or AI generated one. It's just the matter of being used to that sort of content.

My guess is that it won't be too long until AI doesn't trust us.

Sometimes I wonder if many of the events seen today are generated and not actual footage. There are fakes using politicians that look like the real thing too.
I saw a video on YouTube that showed a landslide in China. It was posted by a guy in China that showed footage of the same place but there was no landslide visible.
It's become so bad, people don't know how what to believe.
I think the powers that be, want it that way.

@Vikingswest1 I don't know what to believe online anymore. Politicians and religious leaders are shown giving advice but it is not really Billy Graham or whoever. I am sure these are for economic gain but stopped listening to them.

I just rely on AI to correct my spelling when I type articles.

The human brain uses logic but AI doesn't. It's a robot.

@akalinus Doing it the old fashioned way, to me, is the best way. I mean, one thing writers have is a particular style or voice, and that's what makes what they write unique to them. When I am writing an opinion piece, I'm not just sharing my opinion, I'm sharing my perspective. AI can't do that.

Last year for some reason the second grade teachers used AI to find facts for their students for their living museum characters. There were lots of errors. I do not plan to use AI for anything if I can help it.

Hey Jo, seeing you after a long time. I hope you are doing great!
AI is great as long as you enjoy it for creating imaginative images and videos. Just enjoy the content. That's it. Human interference is a must at times.

@akalinus I would still opt for conservative writing style where human interference is but natural. I think it's another thing if we can copyright anything that's written by AI. Definitely it's a plagiarised bunch of content. But the way it's written and presented, you can easily make out that it is an AI-generated content.

@akalinus I was writing a speech about something and I tried it.
It was so simple that I felt I could do better.

What did you do with it?
I had a dream about a boy who went to an island and found a dragon egg in a cave. I asked AI to write a story about that. They did and some parts were okay. I would never send it anywhere. I just wanted to see what it was like.

I get information from AI about things I research online but then I always recheck that informtion

The developers of AI have stated clearly that occasionally it may make unconfirmed claims, which is why humans should always confirm whether or not they are true. The same is true for humans; we should never take someone's opinion at face value; we should always confirm and assess its accuracy before accepting it. The only distinction is how quickly AI can process any subject, how it arranges its ideas, and where it gathers and displays them to you.

Of course not. We have to be really be careful on researching, we should always go to reliable sources first.
